By WHOSE definition? After all, if you pay the registration fee, 25 is PERFECTLY LEGAL

Besides Police, there are lower cost methods like Red Light Cameras and neighborhood cameras. And I know that some fool lawyers are against that. But those lawyers can afford private security and even their own bodyguards.

Some “fool lawyers” are against it??? What about the fools in favor of it???!

Actually, I do NOT see it as an idiotic law. If one reads post # 42 it says that the Yamaha manual says that their golf car is DESIGNED for 15 MPH. As another post said - the bad brakes, suspension, and high center of gravity make the vehicle DANGEROUS at over 20 MPH. I think that The Villagers would be safer in the 35 MPH vehicles that need to be street licensed. The vehicle cost would probably not be much extra. The license plate cost and insurance would be an extra cost, but the added SAFETY of one's life is worth the cost. The vehicle would probably drive more comfortably than ANY golf car. It would have a lower center of gravity, so would be less likely to tip over compared to a golf car.

Yep, all those carts that go over 15 are racking up quite a body count 😂😂😂

You’re right, it is pretty insignificant

If there is another car in front of the car I just passed, and I am overtaking that car, I am not obligated to put myself into the slow lane so that the impatient jerk behind me who feels it's his right to go 20mph faster than the speed limit, rather than the 10 faster than I'm going, with his lights flashing, shooting me the middle finger, can pass me.

If I can, and when I feel it's safe to, I'll get over there. And I'll be sure to signal ahead of time so he knows not to aggressively pass me on the right the instant he can squeeze between my right rear fender and the front left fender of the car I've just overtaken.

Correct

I had my cart recently serviced by Villages Golf Carts in Brownwood. They had in their agreement to service my cart that they set all golf carts to go 20mph. If I wanted them to leave it where it is and not adjust to 20mph I had to sign off on that. They mentioned nothing about raising the speed above 20mph. Where did you get your information that they will raise your governor to 25mph? That would open them up to lawsuits and they won’t do that.

Same thing at the Sumter Landing garage. They had put in the governor in our golf cart prior to that. And we kept it.

"Karen" has to be first.... no matter what! It is hilarious how many anxious and frustrated people lose their minds if they can't be first. They go as fast as they can and press the pedal extra hard expecting to go faster by sheer foot pressure. Ijits! 😄

Having comprehension problems? You totally misunderstood the post and got it backwards.

Some people are so weak-minded that they are triggered by just the thought of someone wanting to pass and go faster than them. A rational individual adult does not care one bit as long as the passer uses proper judgment and doesn't interfere.

To avoid being passed by the obnoxious accelerator-as-on/off-switch, I would suggest setting your speed to at least 22 mph. I rarely get passed by the I-want-to-go-one-mile-per-hour-faster type at 22 mph.

When I used to take my cart there, I had to sign a paper stating that if my governor was adjusted they would set it back. Has that changed? If you need to go so fast, drive your car.

I have not researched it, but is adjusting a governor something an "average" owner can do?
