Very surprised any "The Villages" golf courses are still open at all.
If you look at counties south of T. V. they have all closed for Peoples Safety.
Whats wrong with people in The Villages, guess they don't understand: "Stay at Home"
As the Pandemic moves north our local count rises dramatically daily in our 3 counties, and were not even near the peak.
Food stores do deliver, most Doctor's offices are closed.
The longer people continue to go out other than for recommended exercise at a safe 6 foot distance the longer we will continue to have this "Pandemic" linger.
Afraid of what the outcome will be when we are allowed to go out again. Many predict a re occurrence.
Stay Safe neighbors. Stay at Home.

Reason for 4 pm

I had assumed it was because of a lack of employees. If that was the case they could have closed some courses and spread personnel around. Now I hear it is because this is the “national standard”. Not sure what that means but it sounded good

Can I come to your property and walk around it anytime I want? Bet you would not be happy!! Anytime you want to buy a golf course you can then do whatever you want with it, until then the rules are for everyone and it is not each individuals choice to do whatever they want, whenever they want. If they do they should be held accountable and suffer the consequences.

I saw community watch chase a foursome off Mangrove

And their fees don't pay for championship courses.

Are the championship courses, which are open to the public, not subsidized at all by our amenities fees? Are they not owned by The Villages? Certainly our amenities fees pay for the executive courses, so why should we not be allowed to walk the paths there before the first T-off?

I can understand liability problems with people walking and playing at the same time, but there shouldn’t be any stray golf balls at 6 am or after the final round of the day. It would be a lot safer than dodging speeding carts or walking on public roads in neighborhoods, and quieter and lovelier. It’s a bit like saying, “You can walk in the streets, so why should we let you walk in the park on the paths.”

Do you realize you are contradicting yourself?

Some foursomes believe they’re playing at the Masters. I’ve been stuck behind groups like that many times here in the illages whether on an executive or so called champion course

But you can still be injured in any one of many ways, it's not just stray golf balls. Plus the maintenance workers are out there with all kinds of equipment before the courses open

Shouldn't I be allowed to go into the rec centers before and after they are open? :1rotfl:

Good point. Walmart also.

I guess it's just human nature to want what you can't have. There are miles and miles of places one can walk, why do some people want to walk where it is not allowed? And then there are those that know it isn't allowed and just do it anyway----probably some of the same people that are screaming obey the law or stay at home.
