Fine people

If the golf courses would start fining people, or for that matter, anywhere else that has restrictions, and it’s hitting their pockets/pocketbooks , things might change.

Let's remember this. The championship courses are owned by the developer. It's his problem to fix, if he see it as a problem. Sort of like underage kids living here fulltime. Only he can enforce the rules. If he wants to. Apparently he doesn't want to.

It's up to each course and their employees to enforce the rules. At the course I work at we are instructed to enforce them, and I, we do, as much as we can during our shifts. It's pretty safe to say that's policy across the board.

Dog walkers on golf course

“In general” I find the dog walkers in my neighborhood to be conscientious about picking up waste and respecting personal property. It’s tiresome to hear such negativity though I stand by the rule that they should stay off the golf courses. “In general”, I believe they do.

Understood. But you can't fine them or trespass them from the courses. Wish you could.

If there is a "problem" we call Community Watch and they call the Sheriff. Pedestrians are usually OK but the one's fishing are another story.

Pedestrians can be a problem if they steal my golf ball.

One time I hit a ball toward the water but it hit a person fishing and it bounced back into the fairway, so I was pretty happy. The fisherman, not so much.

Selfish people in The Villages??
Say it isn't so!

If we could just get rid of all of the old people, The Villages would be paradise on earth.

I saw it the other day. Two morons walking along the course, no shirts, just out for a jolly walk while people were teeing off right in their direction. More and more people think they can do whatever they want. Off limits, except for golfers. I asked the golf office why can't put a small sign (course Closed) when the starter or ambassadors leave. You think I asked them to put up a wall around the course. You are absolutely right Marcoguy. I call them the "entitled people". I hope the dog meets Mr. Alligator, Mr Coyote or Mr. Hawk. Case Closed.

I’d like to walk the golf course myself, but I know it isn’t permitted. I guess it will continue until something gets broke or a green gets trashed by a dog.

There really isn’t anything you can do because I’ve tried. I called the villages community security about it but they just tell me it’s not their jurisdiction.
Oh well

Won’t it be great when someone steps in dog crap? That might get someone’s attention.

It’s not the dogs fault. He has to go where the owner takes him.

Entitled seems like the appropriate word but.....
