She has no idea how lucky she is to come out of the house
gun in hand in front of police, SWAT, etc....and still be alive. The only reason they did not shoot is she held the gun pointing down. If she had raised the gun the outcome could have been very different.
TV is already on the map. All she did was demonstrate that statistically, any community has it's nut cases. btk |
A long time ago in another world, my son's girlfriend's mother shot and killed her husband. They were both drunk. She later died in prison, having ruined several lives besides her own. Grim.

Wonder if it was on Super Channel 2?
I was wondering whether Super Channel 2 had it's crack mobile crew out there to do a "breaking news story"?!!
Yeah right! |
they need our help
I don't know everything that happened and will never know the history. I only can pray for all involved.

AND who knew Sumter county had a SWAT team? With a big custom made Hummerish tank like vehicle...probably paid for with money from Homeland Security. Betcha it had never been out of the garage. AND...thankfully it was a cool evening here too, so the team didn't get all hot in all of their gear.
The couple is from Manahawkin, New Jersey originally. A close friend, also from that area (I think) whose last name is Natarelli, a retired police chief, talked her into surrendering. When originally reported last night on the news they said the Villages spanned two counties, but on the 11:00 version we had reached three counties. She is held without bail and will be charged with attempted murder...first degree I think. All this gleaned from this morning's Sun. I hope it is correct...Tony has questioned me. Sigh....He doesn't question Boomer. I really shouldn't be so flip. The article also reported that Mr. Textor had been shot twice in the upper torso and had surgery Thursday evening in Orlando and was listed in critical condition. |

Oh MY GOODNESS, I know these two...played in a billiards league with them in the past. Both seemed like very nice people.
I'm so sorry that something in their lives led to this horrific event. Prayers for both of them and their family go up. |
Very funny Sunny. You have to smack some folks in the head with a 2X4 to get them to see understated humor.

I've worked with a domestic abuse agency for quite a few years. It doesn't surprise me that domestics flair up in TV. Literally, it can happen with anyone or anywhere. A "nice" couple can have their issues behind closed doors. I really think it's best never to have a gun in the house. When a man or woman goes "temporarily crazy" (of course, I never have) haha, it is amazing what one can resort to.
http://www.theduluthmodel.org/pdf/PhyVio.pdf This is a Power and Control Wheel. This rage of hers :rant-rave: could have escalated after years of "who knows what". Somehow, she went over the edge and unless we know the "inside story", we'll never really know. |
So sad....
|
True, you never know what will push someone over the edge. Certainly this is something that will change their lives forever.
|
|
And if there was no gun in the house the rage would have just gone away????
Of course not.
Guns are not the problem anymore than the knife in the knife rack....or the scissors....or the ball bat....or the car!!!! The other 99% of married couples who have a gun in the home are/feel safe because of it.....why change that for the 1% who might use a gun while wacko? btk |
Well put, btk.
