I think they may have been overwhelmed by the um..magic of the moment.:ohdear:

A very nice way to put this incident, Gracie. My take---wrong place at the wrong time.

Both renters. perhaps The Villages needs to rethink its rental policy

Makes you wonder how this guy is out walking around. Was he found guilty in all of these arrests. I only see one jail sentence.

My neighbors and I were saying the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. I don't appreciate TV being the laughing stock once again.

Are you sure this isn't part of TV daily / nightly entertainment?

Dr Winston O Boogie jr 10-02-2014 03:57 PM

I don't think that the problem is renters. There are probably thousands of very nice respectable people that rent here. I hate to see something like this affecting them.

There are probably some unsavory characters that own homes here as well. If one of them gets arrested do we think that The Villages should rethink it's sales policy?

What I see here is a failure of the court system. This guy has been arrested and convicted numerous times of various offenses, some of them very serious. He has been convicted of contempt of court and several probation violations.

The record of the woman is not as readily available but she does have several priors.

We need to get people like this off the streets. They represent a threat to all decent citizens.

Ny wife read these stories and is now pressuring me to buy a gun. What I can envision happening is some innocent person being threatened by one of these people shooting them and then going to jail for manslaughter.

However, you do have to ask yourselves - "Who were these 2 people hurting?"

From what I read, they were behind a walled off area and not directly next to the road in full view of everyone. The incident was called in by a worker who saw what was happening.

Of course this is not the type of behavior that should be condoned or encouraged but it is a victimless crime. Yes, exposing oneself in public is a criminal act and the policeman did the right thing to arrest them - and they are not the cream of society - but no one was harmed by this incident.

What would you rather have happen at 8:45 a.m. ... a drunken, amourous couple getting it on behind a walled off area OR a store being robbed by an armed robber on Main Street of Spanish Springs?

Shocking!!!!!!!

The problem is that this drunken amorous couple are likely to be the ones robbing a store on Main St when they get done.

My poor wife

Her friends know I have been planning to move us down to The Villages in a few years. This type of news always gets brought up to her and she gets embarrassed.

Geez....

Really, so this is better than an armed robbery. What's next, would you rather have an armed robbery at Spanish Springs or a murder? Rather have one person murdered or hundeds and on and on.

Literally amazing "logic"
