James Richard Adams's Arrest Report (Lady Lake, FL) | Mugshot Explorer

I talked to a cop that knows this guy and he said that he feels that he's very dangerous.

I have no problem with Adams going to jail for a long time - but not for having sex behind hedges or a walled off area. I would think that is a misdemeanor and not a felony.

The motorcyclist who fired shots at an occupied car presents a clear and present danger to the community and should be in prison for a long time.

I don't disagree with that at all, but the perp's past record has to be taken into account. Criminal contempt of court, identity theft, grand theft larceny and battery are all pretty serious charges. I don't know what the record if of the guy who shot the car down on 466 but an accumulation of offenses can add to be much more time than one mistake.

The selling feature might be: This is truly An Active Adult Community! And: America's Friendliest Hometown.

This is titillating news because The Villages is a retirement community. If this had happened on a college campus as it no doubt does at least daily it would not be news. It would be yawnworthy at best.

I, too, am being teased by people who know I enjoy spending time in The Villages and may eventually become a frog. At times I think the people who tease me are jealous, bored with their own lives or both.

The Villages is getting over populated, and its not a 55 only community anymore
they say age discrimination,so you mix that with drunks and what do you get
This is life in the new villages LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

I think that stories that discourage people from moving here are a good thing. First, there are enough people here or planning to move here already. Second, people who think this is typical of the lifestyle in TV are obviously not very bright and I wouldn't want them as a neighbor either. When my acquaintances mention STDs and stage sex I glare at them and ask them if they are implying I am someone who would behave that way? Usually shuts down the conversation pretty quickly.

Maybe it is time for TV to have a community bath house with a good filter for these party animals to go play. After all when you get 100,000 frogs in one place the horny toads will soon follow.

There should be some accountability by the landlords for his renters better background checks or maybe the 55 and over rule should come back . If a renter breaks the law or community rules they should be subject to losing the right to live here with people who obey the law and common morals

Stroglass, "the 55 rule" never went away. It is actually a federal statute. Any community that is designated as an "age restricted" community is required to ensure that a minimum of 80% of the dwellings be occupied by at least one person who is 55+. The community can impose stricter rules if they choose, but they cannot fall below the 80% requirement. The Villages could require 100% of the homes be occupied by people who are 55+ if they wanted, but they don't and to the best of my knowledge they never have.

The developer would probably disagree with you about "stories that discourage people from moving here are a good thing", since he will soon have an additional 2000 homes ready to be sold in Fruitland Park.

Who are these people and why are they here? Shameful.

They had very poor upbringing, and now they are back living with Mommy!

Obviously, the bad upbringing is a given. However, I do not think either were living with Villages parents.

As much as we do not like that kind around - and the idiot biker who shot twice at an occupied car - they are entitled to live in The Villages as you and me.
