Such ungrateful find fault comments.....watch the video about what's coming to Spanish Springs soon. And if anyone hasn't realized movie theaters will be a thing of the past soon and if not one theatre in many miles is enough with people doing more streaming, Netflix, and all the 1000's of movies available in the comfort of your home. I'm not surprised actually at these naysayers who bash the family at any turn secretly wishing they had been that smart financially.

I’m sorry, should have been clearer - i agree with the second turnpike bridge. I was plying devils advocate for all those accusing the evil developer of making all decisions for a bigger profit.

I will use the new bridge as well.

Now that is interesting.

They should turn it into a dance hall. Kind of like Katie Belles.

Some Villager who loved Katie Belles in the good old days should put their money up and lease it to open a dance hall just to prove to everyone how successful it will be. In other words, put their money where their mouth is.

Nope, it has been sold to COSTCO
It is going to be a COSTCO, expected opening is in August 2023

I heard it will be a Costco AND a Trader Joe’s AND Wegmans all in one mall.

Katie Bells never made money. Paid bands like Rocky 2000 a night and no cover charge. People could sit at the bar and have 2 beers for 6 bucks. Math never worked out.

So people can go and sit around for hours with one drink like they did there?

There will be a golf maintenance building and pro shop, plus a starters shack, not really a CC Clubhouse like the other ones in TV, unless your talking about the course down South. Yes, they are putting in some courts and a pool, but no Rec Center building like most Rec Centers. The big question is are they going to be selling the "Rec Center" to the AAC after it's built ? That's where they make a decent profit.

Closing Of the Theatre in Brownwood

The Morse Caln again has taken away yet another venue that might have attracted you to The Villages in the first place.[
.
In time this will continue offering fewer venues for the residents to enjoy the lifestyle that was created by the originator of The Villages "Harold Schwartz to attract buyers.
.
Wish all residents the best with less.

Why can’t people realize that many things that are happening are a ripple effect of a Pandemic that continues to affect things even after three years

. When TV was invented everyone thought the movies were done as well as when we were able to check out movies to view in our homes. People need someplace to go to get out of the house besides going to dinner.

They will make more movies that will be released and people will start to go again! It takes time
