PJ..... you need to start reading the villages-net.com OR go to districtgov.org and learn what is happening here in the villages

So where does the money come from a GoFundMe site?

It comes from the Maintenance fee that is part of your bond payment. This portion does not go away even after your bond is paid off.

Agree. If you try and get consensus with residents nothing ever happens.

You have over 17,000 posts! What on here could you possibly think hasn’t been beaten to death, maybe time for a break.

Yeah, I saw the new windmill last night. It wasn't there last week.

Do you think the windmill and water tower would be back without a higher OK?

bakon 11-24-2022 12:48 PM

I saw it last night. Not sure any of our funds should pay for decorations but I guess the development would fall apart as there is no reason for the developers to continue paying for items. Except the squares are their selling points. But we enjoy them too.

Ahhh…the goal was to make it look like it would have in 1880. The color pallet was pretty sparse back then. You might applaud them for ATTEMPTING to be historically correct, rather than complaining. Just a thought.

Then it was an appropriate use of the fees. Too many tightwads here who can't understand why their property values are so high. Demand remains high due to the synergistic effect of a myriad of amenities.
