And I say this as a 25 year former tennis player.

25 years, small fry :) Pickleball will never have audience as tennis or payday. At least not till they get rid of sideouts. All dinking pretty boring takes hour and half to complete game with sideouts, pickleball not snooker or bowls where English watch it for hours. Beside most all pro pickleball players are ex-tennis players who couldn’t make on pro tour found way to make little money through sponsorship and have to get real job.

It will never be big as a spectator sport. In comparison it makes watching golf feel exciting.

Every time I try to watch golf (and I like golf) I fall to sleep, o wait I fall to sleep watching anything now:shrug:

I would agree. Stay away from Pickleball courts. Another thing to consider when buying a brand new house is if you are a snowbird, it’s nice to have your lanai on the south side of your house to enjoy the sun and warmth in the winter time. I would also want to be further into a neighborhood, not out near the main drags. Golf Carts are especially noisy, so I would avoid being near a golf cart path.Good luck!

A property near a PB court is perfect for deaf home owners.

Easy solution to pickleball noise

Have players change to touchtennis foam balls and racquets after 8pm. They can play the same game but it will be quieter.

Is that game they play in platform tennis courts with junior rackets?

Bowling, golf and PB are better participation sports than spectator sports. Who cares? If I want to watch sports on television, it's football or nothing. :MOJE_whot:

The courts are closed every night at dusk, so that doesn’t even matter.

Where is the Village of Lake Deaton?
Do you mean Lake Deaton Shopping Center?

18-acre project expected to include a 120-room hotel, 70 pickleball courts, 21,250 square feet of retail space, 10,000 square feet of restaurant space and 5,000 square feet of office space.

Just think, there are even night lights for evening play.

I feel for those folks there, but Windermere “W” usually gets what they want. They are a mega giant US developer of real estate and I’m sure they will attempt to make it a classy place.

That whole area is ripe for commercial development. 44 and 44 A will be unrecognizable in 10 years.

Yes,, but with a foam ball, similar to tennis on a smaller court.

Other than net height, not similar to Pickleball at all.
