I missed something here......so, you know where a heroin addict who shoots up in the pool bathroom lives and you have done nothing about this??? You are kidding right?

yabbadu 12-21-2013 07:21 AM

I know you live in Sanibel. I know this is very worrisome to you and other nice folks who live there. Sanibel is just a lovely area and people take such good care of things there.

Does it look like the same person to you? How can they KNOW when people leave their homes in broad daylight???

Had you heard about this supposed Heroin addict?

I can't imagine that they won't catch him/her soon. I so hope so.

Gracie, Your question of how can they know when people leave their homes in broad daylight comes to my mind as I think of all the service crews working in all our areas, from lawn care, house washing, handyman work, etc. All of them have access to our property, not only to do the service work, but we can be under observation of our comings and goings by employees. Not saying all our bad, but a worker for a reputable business could be the eyes needed to set up a next hit.
How to ensure that your or I is not the next home, don't know at this time. But maybe have to put in an alarm system, as one thought. Securing the front door and exiting and entering through the garage another, not the best answer for sure. Such a conundrum.......

All that is necessary to know who's not home is to ride down the street garbage collection day.

to use the bathroom anymore as she ties it up for 30 minutes at a time )
I think this may be why the breakins are localized.............

If you are a witness to this , it's your duty to call the cops and report it as it's happening. As they say , if you see something, say something.

Can't prove a thing that's why nothing has been done. She looks the part and acts suspicious at times but can't prove she's a drug addict. Maybe the OP has seen more than I.

Suspicious activity can be reported to the authorities and they most likely will monitor or set up decoys for the situation. It should be reported.

news is if the person is tying up the bathroom for half hour, she or he is runing out of veins...have to wonder if she or he may be a diabetic, and strange and odd behavior may be due to not using insulin correctly, or early signs of alzheimer

Or any number of things that a gastroenterologist might be of help with.

I think that Bonrich is probably right on with her assessment.

WHO were the firms cutting grass at the time of the break ins?

Halibut 12-21-2013 11:12 AM

I see nothing in Jimroy's post to indicate whether he has or has not contacted the police. Perhaps he has and there was nothing they could do? Does hanging around at the pool, using the restroom for long periods, meeting other people, or walking around one's neighborhood constitute a crime? I wouldn't imagine a local ordinance like loitering would even apply.

I guess the police would need to set up surveillance and catch a drug transaction in process in order to make an arrest, and what's the probable cause for that? I'm also doubtful that anyone would walk to a public restroom to shoot up when they could easily do that in their home. She's not living on the street with nowhere else to go.

Not necessarily, we have a low carbon footprint and often skip a day or even a week of pickup. We do have many guns in the house and on our person though.

kittygilchrist 12-21-2013 12:02 PM

ditto, Gustavo. I've had my door kicked in before and would not hesitate to shoot.

Bogie Shooter 12-21-2013 01:01 PM

Ah, here come the gunners..............................

graciegirl 12-21-2013 01:03 PM

I have cause to believe that there wasn't another burglary in the last few days in the vicinity of Adrienne Way.

I talked to one of our local news sources and that person had not heard of anything in that area.

Does anyone here know of it being reported anywhere? Locally? The Orlando Sentinel?
