Agree 100%. I get passed all the time by carts going 25mph and drivers are not "recent retirees". Same for rude and aggressive driving on the roads.

Not from what my neighbors have told me what it was like in 2007 when Mallory Square was being built. They had two hours to decide if they wanted a specific home. If not, it went to the next person on the list.

Why drive so slowly? Is your cart capable of doing the speed limit of 20 MPH? My electric cart does 20.4 MPH on a good down hill and 19.9 MPH on flat land. That seems very safe to me. Why make me have to pass you? I'm certainly not going to drive 15 MPH when my cart can give me the legal speed limit. Passing is dangerous even if one goes about it safely.

Should that also be done for automobiles here in Florida? Top speed limit is 70 MPH on the turnpike and interstates. Florida could get a lot more revenue from speeders, as it's rare to see everyone doing at the speed limit or below.

In my conversations with law enforcement, they know that speedometers aren't that accurate. They assume that +/- 10% accuracy is the norm.

In some states there's also the "basic rule" for speeding. One can be ticketed or warned even if a vehicle is driving below the speed limit. Sometimes for obstructing current traffic by driving too slow. Other times, driving at a lower speed that is still judged to be too fast for current conditions.

Whether a golf cart, automobile, motorcycle, or even a bicycle, there are many situations where people drive too fast or too slow.

We live south of 44. The vast majority of people passing our 20mph golf cart are +- 70 years old. They do this after tailgating us. The majority have golf clubs on the back.

the Morse family has the get on the ball . get these rules to stay. here in Sumpter co. isn’t bothered with to many rule breakers. but I have heard about renters ruining our standards. that’s got to stop for sure. the Mirses. have to stop this.

I thought the same thing. Someone intentionally driving slow is going to be passed, which potentially creates a dangerous situation. Anyone driving 15 mph and then purposely goes slower because someone wants to drive at the speed limit has serious control issues.
