I too was up in the Amherst/ Tonawanda area outside of Buffalo this Fall, and noticed all the 'Wegman store brands'. I will not usually buy that junk either. I am disappointed in Wegmans for this strategy. I really hadn't noticed it till NYguy's post above. One more thng to gripe about, want to hear about my Comcast modem slow wifi with no resolution? And now Wegmans, life is hardly worth living. Also the price of laundered and press shirts is too high!!

Traverse Plaza is far from empty.....the best bet is shop after 7 pm

Superbowl....Christmas.....Thanksgiving...... You got to expect this heavier traffic in stores. Plan ahead and don't do last minute shopping.

The exception to this would be an approaching hurricane which if, though rare in this part of the state, you ever experienced, is a rush for food and water way exceeding these holidays but thankfully with fewer residents here to compete because it's during he summer .

Publix has now expanded to Va.

Wikipedia "In February 2016, Publix announced their entry into the Virginia market, with the signing of two store leases, the first in Bristol, Virginia, scheduled to open in late 2016, and the second in metropolitan Richmond, scheduled for 2018"

Since we eat late around 8 ish, we usually don't have issues with resturants or going to grocery after dinner. But that's just us, either shop first thing in am or just before close. Gives you less time in store for that impulse buy, and sticking to my list

The day the ads and coupons go into use each week may be busier.
