Several of my neighbors have seen them in Bonita. My cat loves being on the lanai, but she's not allowed out there at nightime anymore.

This is exactly why I would not trust an underground containment system for my dogs. It might keep them in, but it won't keep anything out. We got a CYV because we wanted them in a solid fenced in yard. They run our lives, what can I say?

to the all too quickly morally indignant....

Coyotes in TV

I have not seen a coyote, I was emailed a picture of a bobcat that was seen in Springdale. I've been told it has been seen on the Lopez golf course.

Saw one cross Morse near Mallory Golf course , it ran right across the road late at night.

A few years ago my nephew and his wife were trying to adopt a kitten from the local SPCA in Costa Mesa, CA. They were asked if the kitten would be strictly an indoor cat and they said that it would be allowed to go in their yard that had a ten foot concrete wall around it. The SPCA wouldn't let them have a kitten until they agreed to not let the kitten out in the yard and told them that coyotes can jump ten foot walls!

PS: Foxes like cats and small dogs too.

We hear them at night in certain locations but they are called coy dogs up here......we also have fox that walk down the road; seemingly minding their own business. However, in Colorado the coyote warnings go out and parents with young children have to keep them indoors. I wonder if the ones in TV are the same type? In Boulder, CO. mountain lions have been known to come down into town. Seems the wildlife is encroaching on neighborhoods all over.

Senior i think people are encroaching on their neighborhoods. Welcome, I'm enjoying your notes.

Coyotes

Just go South on Rolling Acres Road .( about 10 PM )...Just a ways South of CR 466 ( past Tree Tops Golf range). Shine a light into the woods and watch them crouch down flat.(and I mean FLAT). Just don't go there during a Full Moon.......OR....you may see "Julia"...the Ghost of Lady Lake.

There was what golfers said was a coyote on the Belmont golf course this morning at about 9:00 a.m.

It was in a big hurry running to the field on the other side of the golf course from the Lynnhaven Postal center.

I had my dog in tow at the postal station and thankfully the coyote just kept running and paid no attention to my dog's one bark at it.

I had thought it was a lost dog when I first saw it crossing Churchill Downs as it looked very much like a big boned lanky German Shepard which had not been fed very well.

I did get a good look at it though but not enough to tell if it had the coyote scimitar shaped teeth. I suppose I could defintely tell you it was a coyote though.

The golfers would have gotten a much longer view of it though as it was running across the golf course.

I have only seen a coyote once before in the Villages and this was late at night on this same golf course but near Morven Parkway near the Pimilco Rec Center.

Ground Hog!

Senior,

Please tell me there is not Ground Hogs Burrowing under the slabs in TV!

I cost me over $250.00 to trap them out from under our Cellar and Garage Pad here in NY last year!

If so I want to adopt at Eagle or Coyote to eat them things! They can destroy a foundation.
