You know, asianthree has a point. By complaining to the manager, maybe the people at the next table were trying to get a free glass of wine as an appeasement. Clever little cheapskates! I bet they're proud of themselves.

How in the hell did you get that ^^^ from what I said in my original post? Please don't try to turn my words around to suit your case.

Let me try to make it clearer for you...I would not feel ONE, SiNGLE, IOTA of concern over what someone at the next table was getting. More wine...more steak...more fries...more salad. So what? I don't care! I wouldn't even know what they were getting, because WHERE I COME FROM it is considered beyond rude to stare at someone else's food, much less measure the amounts!

If you have a problem with your portions, then take care of it. Seriously, man up and tell the waitress what you want, but don't worry about what is going on at the table next to you.
