It is located deep in the heart of drama central .... generally placed as between 466 & 466A but has been seen creeping progressively south bound.

Most of the folks on here that are complaining about dog poop.....have NEVER seen dog poop. Most of those complaining about dogs in restaurants have NEVER seen a dog in a restaurant. None of you have EVER seen a dog poop or pee on a mailbox. Nobody has tripped on a dog or a leash. You haven't had a dog poop on YOUR lawn, YOUR mail station....or even in YOUR neighborhood. You are just going along with the conversation because you don't like dogs or you have had a few too many drinks under your belt when you decide to post your ridiculous anti dog comments or you love to upset other folks just for the fun of it. I know that you know that 99% of the dog owners here in the villages are considerate, caring individuals who would NEVER allow their dog to do their business without picking it up. Take a deep breath, realize that the dogs are here to stay...weather you want them or not...they are here...they will walk where they want, they will eat in the restaurants that will allow it and if you don't like it......move.

Well, this is not just another poop Thread. We learn the Developer owns many of the postal stations. Learn something everyday!

Let the dog haters stop painting every dog owner with the same brush, please.

My dog has never stepped paw on anyone else's lawn but mine. We walk in the street or on the sidewalk on a short leash. Frankly, along with Billethekid, I am sick and tired of the slamming of all dog owners because of a few.

Time for the mod to close this thread as well.

Tripped over another cigarette butt while walking my pooch today. The smell of cigarette smoke must be overpowering the smell of urine as I have yet to smell urine or poo at the TG postal area! Ban smoking from the area too! That is so much more offensive than a group of happy dog owners and their happy dogs socializing in this area! And to all dog owners pick up after your dogs if you aren't already!

BINGO.....you hit the nail on the head. Where are they? Where are the people that have REALLY experienced ANY of this behavior?

The question was where did the 99% number come from? Was there a study or a survey done?

Once again a dog owner telling others to move if they want the rules followed. What gives anyone the right to say this?

And from the numerous posts there appears to be many that have witnessed the behavior. If the developer is having to have a mail station watched this too also says a lot.

I have to agree--my husband and I love dogs----our granddaughter was here recently with her friend---we were playing shuffleboard at our postal station----it was like being at the Westminster Dog Show---so many different breeds----all very well behaved----some in golf carts with owners picking up mail---some walking---BUT I didn't smell any urine---or poop----have never smelled any urine or poop at our station-----and every dog walker that I have seen has a bag that appears to have poop in it. I am sure there are some dog owners that aren't responsible but I really think they are the minority here.

I am moving full time to TG this spring and I know that where I live now my dogs use the yard for pottying before we walk, but just like people, sometimes even after you use the bathroom at home you have to go again after you are out a while. It happens to dogs also. So I bring along bags and clean up. Always. I don't intend to let my dogs walk on anyone's lawn, but I do, or did, intend to just walk my dogs where I walk, in the streets or on paths. I didn't think I would harm or anger anyone. I thought I would just be walking. Period. Now I don't know what to think. Never anywhere I have traveled with my dogs or lived has walking around ever been an issue before. I never thought it would be now. To an 'outsider' as I guess I still am, you have no idea how silly all of this seems. Didn't the people who are complaining about dogs walking here and there come from towns where dogs were out walking with people? What am I missing? I cannot agree with not cleaning up after dogs or walking on people's lawns; that is just plain unacceptable, but walking with one's dog is just one of life's simple pleasures and not that uncommon in most American towns.

With your attitude and awareness, you'll be just fine here, lovsthosebigdogs. TV is a really pet-friendly community. The few that have a problem with dogs and the few dog owners who act irresponsibly don't change that. (Just don't expect the topic to disappear anytime soon! LOL!!!)

And Lovshosebigdogs, other dog poop threads will emerge! It's a recurring thread on TOTV. Believe me, this is mainly only a problem on TOTV. I have never met a dog hater out in public with Crosby. On the contrary, I meet many people who want to pet the dog and talk to me about him.

Honestly, it's not an issue here in TV; just mostly on this forum.
