Why do folks just rant on here to owners who are responsible? Expose the ones who are doing the deed!....it does no good to complain here. The very small percentage of villagers who are on TOTV are most likely NOT the ones violating the walking and poop rules.
Get pictures and post them here!!! The dog owners want it to stop just like the non owners want it to.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see pix of those offending dog owners here! Such posts would truly be informative for all readers/residents!

Bentley knows he is not allowed in anyone's yard and cannot "stop and sniff" until we get to a common area. I always pick up his poop, and frequently other dog's as well. What I can not do, however, is wipe off Bentley's one droplet of pee pee he has to leave on every single bush (again, in the green area) that he passes.

Hmm. I mentioned in an earlier post about shooting videos or pics of the scofflaws and got drilled by some over it; I guess times have changed in 2 months.

Speaking of picking dog doo up, I walked my "girls" to the local mail station today (they never want to poop coming right out of the house, they have to get primed, I guess) and after they did their business, I picked theirs up along with 3 other piles that someone(s) left behind.

People that don't pick up after their dogs are akin to the people that hit out of a sand trap on the course behind me and never rake it, or, at best, do a half-a** job.

THOSE WITH DOGS - TEACH THEM BETTER THAN YOU WERE TAUGHT.

I don't know why I click into these threads, I really don't. :)

But I kind of have to ask ... do others in the historic section have these problems? I can honestly say I've never in 4+ years had any dog poo on my lawn. My office is in the back of the house so I miss a lot of the street goings-on, but I've also never seen a dog being allowed to pee in my yard.

There are owners walking their dogs at the Hilltop mail station (including a guy with a lovely Irish Setter who is perfection on a leash) but can't remember ever seeing piles o' poo there, either.

I can tell you at least 4 days a week I can find, poop on the sidewalks, poop bags left in the parking lot or in the bushes, and after a rain it smells from all the urine. The mulch areas are dug up from the dogs, scratching after going to the toilet. The area is usually congested with cars and carts from the dog walkers. Unless you are the man that drives his cart along the fence line and has his dog follow behind, this dog owner rides all over the "green area" in his cart. Why?? Because there isn't a sign that says: NO carts. (so I have heard).
If you need to take your dog in the car to a place to exercise and toilet, try the dog park or your own yard and save the common green space. No one loves your dog like you do. As for all you people that would never, come watch some of your dog lovers in action, if they don't see someone watching the poop remains. Especially when the dogs are off leash or on the 10 foot leash device.

I completely understand your frustration. It frustrates me to no end to see dog poop and cigarette butts and empty water bottles and plain old trash in the common areas. I see this daily. And if I see trash on the walkway, I pick it up. Just because there are some complete @##holes out there doesn't mean the rest of us should be painted with the same brush. Most people are considerate and responsible. A very few are not. This applies to dog owners, cigarette smokers, drinkers from water bottles, Kleenex users, etc.

So sad that you are so unhappy in Tamarind. The dogs, the carts, the mailbox stickers, the restaurants where the dogs walk on the tables, the poo on your driveway, etc, etc. I honestly will pray that you have happier days ahead. Think of how trivial all this BS is......really. You sounded happy when you first moved here, but not so much now. Sorry.

I go up there every day to pick up mail, and I don't see what you do. Especially around the mailboxes, I have only seen poop once in three years. Guess I'm just lucky. I have almost been run over by the guy in the golf cart on the grass, though, while walking my dog after dark along Tamarind Grove Run. He was careening at breakneck speed across the grass onto the road and almost hit us.

not unhappy, disappointed to find people without common sense or consideration of others.
soon the paradise we all love here will become any common city area with litter.

Can't even imagine that would happen because of a small minority of people !

The people of TOTV have no authority to enforce the ban or remove the sign.

The Villages addressed this topic last year, after some residents decided Tamarind Grove Mail Station would make a convenient dog park- to exercise their dogs off leash. When the mail station parking lot became congested with people from other villages coming with doggies and some loose dogs caused problems, local residents complained to the powers that be.

For a short time, about a week, community watch drivers were stationed in the parking lot-all dog owners were asked NOT to use the area as a free run for their dogs. They discouraged taking the dogs there at all.

After more complaints, the new 'rule' was relaxed, allowing owners to take a stroll in the green area with LEASHED dogs, for quiet enjoyment. (Droppings were expected to be picked up.) Evidently, some kindergarteners can't be given an inch of leeway, for the 'green' privilege has been abused again (by some) so now it is off limits in general for dogs- per notice. I think there was also an article about it in The Daily Sun as well. People KNOW.

Unfortunately, we have residents who don't follow rules and don't care if they alienate people.
Just be glad they're not related to you. :mornincoffee:

Apparently you think everybody subscribes to that rag they call The Daily Sun don't ass u me......

I personally have never walked our dogs at the mail station. But I think probably people enjoy taking their dogs for a walk?
Like kcrazorbackfan, who is cleaning up after other negligent dog owners. And leaving the mail station a cleaner place.

I think this is a pessimistic view. Most Villagers are very responsible and respectful of other resident's property.
Many of us pick up litter, water bottles, etc., even cigarette butts on a golf course, to keep TV a beautiful community.
I haven't seen a lot of the things that disappoint you and I've been here seven years (dogs walking on tables in restaurants??)

The developer owns all the green space around the mail boxes. If he wanted to, he could have neighborhood watch patrolling these areas.
