Bentley knows he is not allowed in anyone's yard and cannot "stop and sniff" until we get to a common area. I always pick up his poop, and frequently other dog's as well. What I can not do, however, is wipe off Bentley's one droplet of pee pee he has to leave on every single bush (again, in the green area) that he passes.

Hmm. I mentioned in an earlier post about shooting videos or pics of the scofflaws and got drilled by some over it; I guess times have changed in 2 months.
Speaking of picking dog doo up, I walked my "girls" to the local mail station today (they never want to poop coming right out of the house, they have to get primed, I guess) and after they did their business, I picked theirs up along with 3 other piles that someone(s) left behind. People that don't pick up after their dogs are akin to the people that hit out of a sand trap on the course behind me and never rake it, or, at best, do a half-a** job. THOSE WITH DOGS - TEACH THEM BETTER THAN YOU WERE TAUGHT. |
I don't know why I click into these threads, I really don't. :)
But I kind of have to ask ... do others in the historic section have these problems? I can honestly say I've never in 4+ years had any dog poo on my lawn. My office is in the back of the house so I miss a lot of the street goings-on, but I've also never seen a dog being allowed to pee in my yard. There are owners walking their dogs at the Hilltop mail station (including a guy with a lovely Irish Setter who is perfection on a leash) but can't remember ever seeing piles o' poo there, either. |

Like kcrazorbackfan, who is cleaning up after other negligent dog owners. And leaving the mail station a cleaner place. Quote:

Many of us pick up litter, water bottles, etc., even cigarette butts on a golf course, to keep TV a beautiful community. I haven't seen a lot of the things that disappoint you and I've been here seven years (dogs walking on tables in restaurants??) |
The developer owns all the green space around the mail boxes. If he wanted to, he could have neighborhood watch patrolling these areas.
