Unfortunately, AIR BNB is violating an internal deed restriction, which is next to impossible to get enforced.

I don't like airbnb either. But, how is renting a house using airbnb any different from using another website or realtor? What deed restriction are they violating? Just curious.

#5 - I had no idea about this one. Why would we have to do that? Just doesn't make sense to me. We were seasonal for several years and we never notified the developer when we were gone for 9 months. I would prefer for them not to know, actually.

#5. A carry over from when the man knew everyone living in the original trailer park.

Pavers on the driveway are prohibited in courtyard villa sections.

Private vehicles in the driveway are just fine.

I don't understand why a 1 ton can not be parked in your driveway. I have compared the 2020 Ram 3500 to the 2020 Ram 2500 and the 3500 is only 44 pounds heavier than the 2500.

Go to a body shop & get a 2500 put on the truck instead of 3500, no one would know the difference unless its a dually

Maybe weight is not the reason for the rule.

Chatbrat 02-29-2020 09:53 AM

I believe the powers that be consider 1 ton rated vehicles "commercial"

If you are renting your entire house through AIRBNB there is not any deed restriction violation. If you are renting a room in your home WHILE YOU ARE LIVING THERE then you are violating two deed restrictions. The home is no longer being used as SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL and you are now running a business out of your home that is generating taxable income.

Weight is the rule most light duty trucks are use as personnel vehicles, heavy duty trucks are used on farms and tow vehicles/ RV trailer haulers.

Can’t stop you from parking on a county street, road, terrace, etc.. The Villages does not have jurisdiction. In fact The Villages has a whole bunch of rules it simply can’t enforce.

In Marion county the streets are private.

Note, some homes in The Villages do not have garages.

Yes, you can, only have to get the bumper under the eaves. :)

I know you can park in your driveway in courtyard villa neighborhoods but when you drive thru some of them they do look like giant parking lots. Pretty unattractive.
