Can’t stop you from parking on a county street, road, terrace, etc.. The Villages does not have jurisdiction. In fact The Villages has a whole bunch of rules it simply can’t enforce.

Yes as i have said in the past State and federal Law preempts anything you sign no matter what the almighty tells you!

I can't park under the eaves . That's where I have to keep my flock of plastic flamingos and other lawn ornaments. That's why I can't park my car in the garage.

Note, some homes in The Villages do not have garages.

Including laws that apply to contracts.

I understand what you are trying to say but contracts become invalid for someone to enforce if State and Federal law preempts it. Another wards It becomes moot issue when they are in Conflict with State and Federal Law.
For example the powers to be try to enforce placement of outside antennas.
They Can't enforce this especially when there is federal law specifically addressing this and also case law backing it up.
People give up so many of there rights when moving here due to ignorant s of the law.
JMHO
Don't be bullied just because someone believes it to be a restriction they signed! The Powers to be know some of there restrictions are unenforceable but they try to enforce them by intimidation.

Seems like I remember when I moved to The Villages there was a code that stipulated resident's vehicles should be parked in their garage.
My neighborhood is beginning to look like a parking lot. Neighbor has three cars and a golf car, two are always left in the driveway throughout the night. Other neighbor never puts the vehicle in the garage.
Just wish to clarify this?? Thank you

I don’t think that’s true about you have to put car in garage. By the picture this person looks like they have enough room for 2 more cars. They could of parked those 3 cars in the street & that would of been worse. My point is you better drive around TV & see how many cars are parked in in there own personal driveways. If the rules do say. should be parked in garage. It doesn’t say they HAVE TO BE PARK IN GARAGE! Like I was told once, if you don’t like something, move. Don’t want to sound mean but don’t get your neighbors mad at you. TV is a nice & friendly place to live!

The code is No junk cars, TV parking is time limited I have two cars, two motorcycles and one golf cart. Cars are parked in my driveway.

I could never figure out the terminology, You can drive on the parkway but you can't park on the driveway:shrug:

Actually Courtyard Villa roads are considered " Private " with public access. As for parking a vehicle on the street, as long as an " Emergency " can get by parking a vehicle on the street is allowed.

Annoying yes...but nothing ya can do about it.

Annoying when trying to get out of you’re curved driveway when some AH parked half way out in middle of the street and half blocking you’re entry. You can’t park on both sides of street and vehicle pass through unless the vehicles are half on lawns. The 2 foot concrete strip around CYVs are private property, two of the five foot easements in front yards.

Have you read your deed restrictions?

Yes, and I am violating the following restrictions:

1. My driveway is made of paving stones instead of concrete.
2. I am violating the two pet policy with my aquarium
3. Some of my shrubs are over 4 feet tall
4. I have more info on my sign than just our names
5. I don't notify the developer when out of town for more than 7 days

Hah! They KNOW that you were thinking about complaining, so you are guilty. Everyone knows that. Want proof? Just watch what is happening on TV in congress right now.
