Gas at my cheapest local station is $5.71 this morning. Thank goodness we have the country’s worst roads here in California.

Absolutely appears that oil prices will be rising and gas too.

The Middle East situation and the lower domestic production will impact prices very soon. We are also going to increase importing Venezuelan oil. And the Strategic Oil Reserve of the USA is down by over 45% the last few years.

This is all converging…. Not good news for energy prices. hang on.

did it ever occur to you that these people may not be able to pay for a full tank of gas .you know the last time prices were very high I would keep an eye out while pumping gas for folks that were pulling up at the same time in older cars and putting just a little gas in them , on 2 or 3 occasions I watched mothers with kids in cars put in a few dollars , I asked them if I could pay to fill them up ,after the initial shock they were extremely grateful, I believe in playing it forward , I’ve been lucky in life , so many mistakes and still came out okay

Thanks. Brazil does it right: Ethanol from sugar cane is about a 7-1 return on energy invested to produce it. Over here we use mainly corn, which at best is a push: you put as much energy into producing it as you get back out of it. We could be using sorghum, which I understand grows just about everywhere corn does and gives about a 2-1 return, but we don't.

Maybe I'm in a minority, but it just seems immoral to be using food for fuel.

It don’t get sub zero in Brazil.

Wouldn’t occur to me at all, considering, A Benz, Corvette, and Beemer, all few years old, every driver 70, and up, so money not an issue. Some guys just have that fear, that price may flux to wait, for higher price.

Better than waiting for 3 people having to FILL UP at $25 or higher each

Money not an issue if a person is over 70???? Are you their financial advisors and know that for a fact or just ASSUMING!!!

OH !! I’m sure they were ,that happens to me all the time on the turnpike , I’m always waiting behind 3 luxury cars driven by 70 year olds ,putting less than $10 in gas tank . I guess we are both unlucky

When you spend $100,000, to $200,000 plus on a car, I am guessing they don’t live in it, and have the ability to pay for the high end insurance to go with it.

One can see more Jags, Maserati, Ferrari, Bentley, and occasional RR. inside TV, than in most affluent communities. Spend $200,000 plus for a car, I am thinking his financial guy is on speed dial.

When one appreciates a fine machine, you don’t have to assume anything. If we still had our split window, and Shelby, I wouldn’t be putting in $7.00 in gas, it would take that much just to start it up and drive there. We rarely add to tank over 1/2, sometimes performance cars get a little fickle and adding gas at mutual stations.. but just listen to our car guy

So no, don’t need to be a financial advisor to know how much a classic machine sticker cost is, or appreciate the machine itself. Just surprised someone would sit in line for $7.00 worth of gas. Especially with their engines, top off isn’t worth it, $7. Is 2.4 gallons ish, when clicked off. Rarely does a car less than a few years old has a gas gage issue, so wild guess, gas was cheap, and didn’t want to buy at a higher rate.

Worried about rising oil and gas prices? Imagine how much less of a problem that would be if 30% or more of new car and truck sales were ELECTRIC.

That is the best way to attack the problem.

With the cost of electricity here in UK, charging a Tesla electric car costs £25+ ($30+) a time.
Makes even my old gas guzzler more economical, and at our gas prices.
Plus, according to certain sources, I am producing plenty of CO2 , and saving the planet!

By the time Developers are finally done building that EV better be getting 300miles a change just to get from TV middle, to north, down to south, and back to middle (wherever that will be):clap2:

Then again dealer advised us to AC the garage, for EV, so factor in the unit and monthly run of AC.
