However, the amenity fee pays for more than golf so assume that 50% is for golf and the rest of it is goes to everything else - pools, rec centers, landscaping, walking trails, golf cart trails, you would be paying $11 a round. However, if you play more than twice a week, the cost per round goes down.

SOOOOO, in 2020 I played over 1200 rounds of golf on execs and championships, this would make me WAY AHEAD of the round costs...

I moved here March, 2020 - the only activity available was golf. $120 bought be a slightly used Strata golf set and I started to play. Now averaging 5 Executive rounds a week, the cost of using my cart is 60¢ per round. Regarding the Amenity Fee, if one were to use every activity or facility available, the cost per activity would probably be even less. I wake up every morning, grateful for a pulse and for living here in paradise!

So you are disagreeing with someone about the cost of golf — that is your prerogative.

But to use a tragic disease as a tool of mockery is beyond thoughtless. The smug, cold, calculating allusion to the statement from the Alzheimer’s Association is an attempt to be funny, I guess. But not only is it obnoxious, it is cruel. Many here probably know someone who is saying, “The Long Goodbye.” There is nothing funny about it.

Then a bunch of posters line up underneath the post to say, “Thank you.” ???

A line has been crossed. That was not wit. That was completely out of bounds.

After 15 years of suffering with this terrible disease Mom passed this year. Now I just have Dad and this terrible disease.

Nothing is free.

That is really impressive. Average over 3 rounds per day, every day for a year!
Please share your secret to getting those tee times.

I have no problem walking. Gee, with your advice maybe I should start riding. Or I could stay in my house and be afraid of everything

Some people are accidentally cruel - while others do it on purpose. History knows the difference.

Wife and I played with a chap who played up to four times a day.
Play as a single, and the starters can fit you into groups not a foursome.

All residents that pay taxes and fees have a right to complain. It is a nice place to live. However, nothing is free here. We pay for the Executive Courses in the amenity fees and now an added trail fee. They all add up to more money out of my pocket.

Easy to get on as a single. Many groups are not always divisible by 4.

Trail fee is not something new.

Third post and you’ve already crossed over to the dark side.
You don’t have to pay the trail fee. Totally optional. You would be surprised at how many people walk and don’t pay the trail fee. Choice is yours, and walking is good for you.
