Ray is my husband and Nancy is my name, therefore, raynan.

Sorry to have missed most of the early portion of this thread. Stuff like that happens when you go away for a while.

Not terribly creative, but lots of folks wonder "What the h***?"

SWR = my initials
IN = the word "in"
FLA = an abbreviation for Florida.

Briefly, before actually moving to TV, I was also SWRINSTL, signifying that I lived in Saint Louis.

I use it at CruiseLineFans, as well.

TV-4-2 04-01-2012 05:18 PM

Hopefully it is obvious.

After learning that The Villages is (seems like it should be "are") abbreviated TV on most postings I chose TV as the first part.
Then, being diabolically clever, I substituted 4 for for (pardon my redundancy.)
On a roll by that time, I ingeniously used 2 for two, thus giving TV-4-2 (my wife and I as soon as we can sell our home.)

ducati1974 04-01-2012 06:46 PM

Not my first choice. I was supposed to be HVACman57 (occupation and year of birth) but the administrator felt I could be trying to solicit business in TV and so disallowed this name. Ducati is just the brand name of a factory prototype motorcycle I used to own. No idea why I chose that at the time. 1974 was the year of my HS graduation. Again, no idea why I used that either. Would have preferred my more descriptive first choice.

natickdan 04-01-2012 07:23 PM

I live in the town of Natick and my name is Dan. As you can see, I'm not very creative;)

At the time I became a member here, Joanie was our new Toy Fox Terrier. Absolutely doting on her then and now.

I love the British mini-series Pride and Prejudice in which Colin Firth plays Mr. Darcy. He's so perfect in that role that I can't watch any other version of it. The picture is of my Tibetan Spaniel/King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Beauregard Jackson, aka Bodie.

When I was a kid one of my smart little buddies, realizing my name "Marshall" for which most people called me "Marsh", was almost synonymous to "Swamp", felt Swampy was more appropriate than Marsh. BUT, in my neurotic insecure state I resented the name "Swampy". Now that I have the privilege of attaining the wisdom of "old age" I can't wait to be a kid again, and realize that Swampy is the "me" whom I most enjoy! "Its never to late to be a kid"

villager 04-10-2012 07:21 PM

Villager - well, I guess it's pretty self explanatory, but not too creative.

Vinny 04-10-2012 07:41 PM

I though long and hard about it and then was amazed that no one had it already. I have tried for many years on many websites to use this name and it was only available here. I think it is very creative. :posting:

mojoe 04-10-2012 10:37 PM

We have been using Mojoe for quite some time (my first name Maureen and my husband Joe). All of our friends always would say "Hey Mo Joe." So everyone just started collectively calling us Mojoe. Sadly, Joe passed away on January 31. I will still be Mo or Maureen but I will continue to use mojoe as my TOTV name and my email.

eremite06 04-11-2012 08:10 AM

Thought I'd be a hermit (eremite), when I retired in '06.

Trish Crocker 04-11-2012 09:57 AM

Mojoe, I'm so sorry for your loss. How are you doing?

missyomama 04-11-2012 10:00 AM

Many years ago I called one of my sons at his workplace. Another young man answered the phone. I asked to speak to my son and the fellow yelled across the room, "hey Kevin, phone call, it's YO' mama" and I have been yomama ever since....

mojoe 04-11-2012 11:35 AM

Trish, I am improving. I am up north with the family for Easter, so that helps. Will be coming back to TV on Sunday. It will be hard but I am doing one day at a time. And praying a lot. Thanks for asking. When will you be coming to The Villages?
