Personally, I would walk away as it is not worth getting upset. It's easy for me to say because it didn't happen to me.

No I do not think so.I think everyone understood what he meant with the phillips screwdriver.

I'd insist on speaking with the administrative or sales manager of the complex at LSL, to tell them how this driver portrays "Florida's Friendliest Hometown". Maybe TV would like to get the car towed and impounded. :clap2::clap2::clap2:

Fortunately I'd guess that level of rudeness rears its head with 1 in 5,000 people here.

Maybe they could have worked in the sales office. Now that would be funny.

But...I kid....

MOST of us understood that! Great answer, btw.
The poster's name calling of you and wild assumption was rude in itself and you deserve an apology from that person, hint, hint.

Yes, it was very rude of those New York women to do that and I would have been upset for a moment, too. However, there were lots of empty spaces for you to go into so it was no real inconvenience to you. Relax and continue to enjoy The Villages as you have for 3 years. Remember, it is Snowbird Season and these people will be going back home in 6 more weeks and we will have our Villages to ourselves again until next November.

Where did it say "New Yorkers"?

But I thought it was the residents here that are acting like this!!! Most of the post on TOTV is about poor behavior by the people that live here. Who raised these people??????

I am choosing to take all of these mean spirited solutions as attempts at humor. I do want to believe any of you would take such retaliatory actions. I know when someone yells at me for something, or treats me rudely, it upsets me and puts a damper on my day. I just wish everyone could be more patient. I will not stoop to their level or become one of them.

I sometimes have to remind myself that GOD gets even with mean spirited people.

It's easier to let it go when I think like that. Beside engaging the other person only escalates the problem. It's really not worth it.

I wish I could feel that way but unfortunately I'm not wired that way. I can't seem not to challenge bad behavior. These people are like undisciplined children and need to be told NO! at times. That's just me...............not for everyone.

It seems to me that confrontation just prolongs an uncomfortable situation and makes it worse. I doubt it ever changes the offender's behavior patterns.

GOD is all-knowing by having these mean spirited people live a long life here on earth. Do you blame HIM?? Why would he want these pain-in-the-back-sides reeking havoc in heaven any sooner than necessary!!!

It said New Yorkers in the title of "incredibly rude". Where else - except maybe Connecticut - where would you find such rude people?

At least, they will be Snowbirding or Snowflaking back to their home territories in another 6 weeks or so and The Villages will return to it's wonderful charm.

I am originally fro New York and presently live in CT. I guess that's two strikes against me. :D

I hope I get a friendly reception when I get to Florida's Friendliest Town!

Wow, two strikes! You can eliminate those by (1) coming to Crispers for the TOTV get-together and/or buying me an ice cold Yeungling (or two) at CityFire. Otherwise, you do have two strikes!
