Plenty there, too. I have had the bites to prove it.

True and that’s new ground there. It will take awhile to get the bug population under control. It was marsh and Cow Land.

I live north of 466A and in 10 years have not had 1 mosquito bite. The minute I set foot outside the bubble or the area south of 44, I get eaten alive.
The spray control has helped a lot up here

Not so. I live north of 44 on a 'natural pond', not a retention pond, and the mosquitoes are awful.

Means mosquitoes are worse in southern part of villages. Where I live I haven’t been bitten 10 time in 6 years. No mosquito problem where I live and I never seen them spraying.

YES, at the mailbox! I itched for two days! Why doesn’t The Villages spray?

I have been bothered by mosquitos up north and here. Yes mosquitos are present. Sumter County does spray. I complained and Sumter and I exchanged emails and sent a person to check the next day.
If you don’t tell them they can’t know there is a problem

The mission of Mosquito Control to achieve and maintain levels of arthropod control as well as protect human health and safety by reducing the number of pestiferous and disease carrying mosquitoes through out Sumter County.

Mosquito Control also handles:
Service requests from citizens of Sumter County pertaining to mosquito control
Surveillance of mosquitoes by way of light traps, landing rate counts, and location aquatic breeding sites to determine control efforts to be taken
Adulticiding (night spraying) to control adult mosquitoes
Larvaciding (treating aquatic breeding sites) to reduce the number of adult mosquitoes
Maintenance, refurbishing, and calibration of all equipment as well as maintain access to aquatic breeding sites

Yes mosquitos have been bad this season but the county landscapers do spray around the establishment and golf ponds. Edna’s puts up mosquito repellent but it’s Florida and bugs happen.

No It’s not a myth. Medical fact. 0 positive is the most prevalent.

I use Neutrogena Light Sesame bath oil after I shower, mosquitos and ticks hate it!

There mosquito repellents that are worn on clothing emitting a frequency that repels mosquitos. I wear one on top and one at waist. They are 100% effective. Also wrist band repellents on Amazon & Ebay.

We have mosquitos too. We're north of 466. Unfortunately spraying is determined by the state. The county does it when they "have enough mosquitos in the traps". We take repellant with us in the evenings and often outside The Villages which is worse.
