Barbie? Oppenheimer?

I think the OP is referring to the previews shown before the movie.

Some people do not get a well-written line of sarcasm.

I really doubt that it was “the height of obscenity.” If you think so, your experience is very limited. I’m sure the trailer was rated R or less. Chances are, I wouldn’t like what I saw in the trailers, either. Here’s the thing, though: the trailers show you what to avoid. If you are offended by the trailer, you know better than to go see the movie. Maybe that trailer saved you from spending money on a film you might otherwise have gone to see.

Maybe you should go see “Bambi” instead. Cute little deer. Oh, wait, Bambi’s mom gets shot by a hunter. And Bambi makes babies somehow with Filene.

Perhaps you need to only watch from home where you control what you watch. We go to AMC, last movie Retribution, next movie Expendables 4. Do research on movies that interest you.

I recently saw just the previews of the movie “Strays” and was blown away by the obscene language! It was just flat out “gutter talk”. It was sickening to see how our society has changed to think what is funny!

That was a great book but somewhat titillating. I would highly recommend it but just realize I do not remember the title.

I would think the Villages' majority would not even think of going to this movie and being accosted for 2 hours, yet it has landed here. How very sad. And even if possibly someone would want to see this, it is morally reprehensible and unfair that we have to sit through this unwanted assault. I earnestly would ask the theatre to remove this film. I pray it is boycotted by the decent here and it is soon gone.

Okey dokey, am I the only one here who thinks this post might be satire? Look at the phrasing, the word choice.

I would lay money down on a bet that the OP is satirizing the ignorant book banning being done in Florida........Oh, Noooooo, I said lay.

I remember my Mom went with a group of neighborhood ladies and walked out of one of the more obscene movies playing at the Old Mill Playhouse or at least at one of the Villages theaters.

Probably was this one-- Dirty Grandpa - Wikipedia.

Floods, earthquakes, fires etc, let me know how that (praying) works out for you.

At the risk of being censored again. The profanity, risky behavior, sexual connotations and the filthy end product, I am disappointed that people continue to pay money to watch this disgusting display of so-called acting. It permeates our society to the point that we tolerate it and think it's no big deal. Well, it is a big deal. I can't wait to get the infraction notice.

At the outset of our marriage we decided not to see any R rated movies. Do what you want but that's what we chose to do. We don't like the language, excessive gore or being in the private of someone else bedroom. Sometimes but fairly rarely we miss the opportunity to see what looks like a good movie.

Today however, these R rated movies are often on regular TV with little or no editing. Even today's PG-13 movies often cross over the line in our opinion. To us this is a reflection of the decay, acceptable by many, we see in our world today.

It is all in the eye of the beholder I guess, "I know [obscenity] when I see it[.]" – Justice Potter Stewart. Quantity of Books v. Kansas · 378 U.S. 205 .. I am waiting for someone make the observation that some primary schools use controversial materials in the classroom
