As younger residents move into TV, many still working from home, having a primary first floor, and your offices and extra bedrooms upstairs.

Our home up north is the same primary, laundry, living space, kitchen and dining first floor, 4 bedrooms upstairs, which we fondly called the kid’s apartment. Plus the 2,000sf walkout basement, which had gaming room, small apartment living, and workout room, with full mirrors and bar for ballet practice for our grands.

Sounds like our home in Va. We do miss all the extra space we had but two flights of steps to walk and my wife was ready for a home without steps

We rarely had to go down to the basement, unless we were all using the theater games. Then again with the walkout, you didn’t have to deal with many stairs.
Upstairs, I never went up until day before Thanksgiving. Kids could do whatever they wanted until Holidays when their “apartment” had to be spotless from Thanksgiving until January 2.

So with first floor master, it was one floor living I loved having the kids, their friends and company upstairs out of the way. If company didn’t like the stairs they stayed for less time:1rotfl:
