Bob Evans is going on the opposite side of Walgreen's.

Someone wants to play Santa Claus with other peoples money. A $15/hour minimum wage perhaps? Let's make it $75/hour and eliminate all poverty while we are at it...

Anyhow, the Walmart Neighborhood Market I went to had nice wide aisles with good sight lines and neat shelves. Quick and courteous checkout was also a plus. Would like to see one on 466 also.

I'm looking forward to a Wally World food store [emoji847]

Walmart is going to be a diamond for the million dollar buyers of homes. We'll be there saving money alongside of them while they are cutting corners to pay that big nut every month for their million dollar home. More power to ya! I can say safely that I know of a second poster now that we won't be bumping into at Walmart. Be kind to the little people when you make it to the top.:bigbow::bigbow::bigbow:

Well said!

Are we off topic yet? Yes, my point was only the reason that I am a Walmart snob". Others have chosen to make it a social/political discussion. Sorry my opinion started all of this nonsense.

Shame on you for igniting raw emotions with opinionated Villagers [emoji6]

:faint:I don't think it is off topic. A good spirited give and take of opinion is what this is all about. Isn't it ok to wander off a little bit? What is the big deal?:faint:

the states that did increase their minimum to 12 or 15 $/hr (Oregon is an example) have experienced large layoffs and higher than normal business closures. A nurse makes that, a non skilled participant does not deserve it.

A nurse makes $30 to $50 an hour and excuse my rudeness but who are you to say anyone that breaks their back for a living day in and day out does not deserve a decent living wage. Seriously ? :cus:

Publix for Bread, Fresh Market for Meat and Walmart for most other things.

perrjojo 05-13-2016 09:42 PM

What I have learned from this thread? Never jump to conclusions on what you read. Living wage? I have been attacked by both sides of the issue when I had no intent to address either side. Oh well.

Thread has strayed hopelessly off-topic of new retail stores announced for The Villages.

Thread Closed.
