Everyone I asked to quote did quote me and think I did very well purchasing car today with a price just over 5500 under MSRP.

If Toyota dealers were close to each other would have visited dealers but decided it was not practical.

BTW took multiple emails before Phillips gave me an out the door price and they were several thousand higher than what I paid.

If possible, can you block out any personal information and show us a copy of the dealer price list with all the cost associated with your Camry purchase as some of us can use this information in order to possibly obtain even yet a better deal on a new Camry. Please list ( if possible ) all the fee's and final cost. Thxs:bigbow:

Added to that was safety package and dealer profit and tax and title and tags.

Yes it was. Huge facility they say they are the largest Toyota dealer in the state.

Biggest by far of any dealership we have been too.

Great but here is the $64K question. How much was the safety package and dealer profit ?

Come on Stu. You are leaving us with half a story. If you had to pay dealer profit and safety package then you didn't get $5500 under MSRP. Also what is a safety package? And did you really want it or was it the typical Florida car dealer trick we install that automatically on every car that comes in our lot. My instinct says my previous post of about $3000 under MSRP is looking more realistic after the progressive disclosures settle.

The MSRP would already include the dealer profit.

The sales rep claimed (but I did not believe him) that overall the dealership was losing money on the selling price before the end of the month adjustments from Toyota.

The cost to me included $ 1429 for convenience package, which I had to get to the blind spot monitoring package and an LED Interior Light Upgrade, plus $ 427 for title and plates, plus sales tax and $ 104 for assorted taxes.

This was told to me by other dealers so was getting stuck with these charges no matter what.

Would have done better but the computer chip shortage is certainly reducing the supply of new cars.

Have you thought of being a car salesman ? You are doing a great job avoiding the simple question - HOW MUCH UNDER THE MSRP STICKER ON THE LEFT REAR WINDOW FROM TOYOTA NOT COURTESY DID YOU PAY WITHOUT INCLUDING TAX, TAGS, AND TITLE ? It obviously was not $5500.

Trying to say this in the nicest way possible, but really do not think it is any of your business.

You said it nice. No problem here. I have pretty thick skin but at my age a tad bit short on patience when I smell BS. Have a great day Stu from NYC Enjoy your new ride.

Hi -
Some of us would benefit if you could provide us with the exact model year and options with a total out the door price. Then anyone of us in the market for a vehicle similar to yours will have at least a fighting chance in attempting to obtain the lowest price possible. Toyota Camry's are very generic vehicles and many Villagers may be in the market to purchase a similar vehicle and your honest response is valuable. Also by providing this information, a purchaser can provide this information to the dealer and most dealerships will pay """YOU""" a referral fee, usually $100.

When I get an out the door price from a dealer I want it to include everything. How much is the check I need to write. I want all taxes, tags, dealer fees, and nothing else added. It’s the only way you can truly compare between dealers. When you approach it that way, a lot of those add on’s disappear. If I have asked for that price and I tell them that is all they will get and then I see them try to add another fee, I leave. They will all try to tell you they don’t know exactly because “their finance guy” has to determine that, I just ask them to get him and figure it out. They will get you that number when pushed to do so.

Hi to all that were trying to gain a little bit of knowledge. It is apparent this thread was a one way street for the benefit of the OP not us observers. After all this can you imagine going to Courtesy Toyota and offering them $5500 under MSRP and tell them they just made that deal to OP. Good thing I got my Camry last year for $5501 under MSRP - Some fuzzy math involved. LOL.

Wow. Before criticizing me why dont you read my first post where I asked peoples opinion about Courtesy Toyota.

That was the reason to start this thread not to educate people on how to negotiate.

Only one post of many actually commented on that. You and others just wanted to know what I paid. If I started a thread on something different you might have gotten more info from me.
