There is not a home owners association in TV, that sets the rules. There are deed restrictions that define the do's and don'ts.

Let's just say....

if a sign in a yard will change someone's mind about which candidate they vote for, there wasn't much to change in the first place :0000000000luvmyhors

Oh, this thread reminded me of another thing I love about TV. No yard signs! They are such an eyesore in otherwise nice neighborhoods.

If we hadn't agreed, we were free to buy in another community with different requirements.

Campaign signs not allowed in yards in T.V. = Reason #1,037 why T.V. is a great place to live.

:agree:
Maybe reason # 1038........

Not many people here in T.V. think it appropriate to try and change my mind on politics, religion, and life choices, etc. and it turn,

I don't try and change their minds!

Too much important stuff here to keep me occupied....Pickleball, Golf, Cards, Pools, TOTV, etc.

The Villages motto, implicitly, is "Live and let live...life is short!"

My neighbor in NY put his car on blocks so he could work on it when he had the time. That was three years ago. No cars on blocks. No pink flamingo's and no political signs. Another reason why the Villages is the place to be.

mulligan 09-10-2011 04:11 PM

now if we could only keep the politicians off tv until the last week before election.........

Right.....but at least with a television you can change the channel or turn it off.

What if a person is selling their house, and on all sides the neighbors have put bunches of Obama signs that have then been countered by three times as many Perry, Romney, Bachmann or Palin signs??

It would make me leery of buying in a neighborhood seemingly content with being at war like that.

hmmmm, that is an interesting point. I'll have to be more observant.
