Its actual the expanding of building material (siding, etc) on houses as the sun begins to rise and warm them.

It was a daily event when the weather began to cool in Minneapolis

Johnny Rocket slamming the door on the ladt customer.

No...these shots begin when there is barely any light in the sky and the temps haven't started to rise.

That's probably where they are coming from then. If i can hear trains 4 to 5 miles away I guess I can hear shotguns from less than a mile.

Backfire from my golf cart....

My wife and I heard them this morning too. I heard a distant double blast. I'm no expert, but sounded like a shotgun.

They duck hunt in Lake Okahumpka off Rt 44. Shots I hear sound like Lake Miona.

We're in Mallory Square and we also heard several shots (or firecrackers) around 6:45 am this morning. Yes it could have been a shotgun.

Duck hunting season start Nov 21- goes until the end of Jan. I think the 1st weekend in Feb ends it off with a youth duck hunting weekend. When the wind is just right, the shots can be heard in the southern end of The Villages, especially in the morning. It starts a half hour before sunrise. Why do I know this? My dog is very sound sensitive. We have learned to get him out before the noise of the guns start.

LOTS of opinions here as always though I will say that it sounded like gun shots and it was a closer sound than the bombing in the forest or in a lake 5 miles away. I've heard the bombing sounds before and the duck hunting ones before. It almost could have been in our neighborhood but we are close to that farm so maybe it was there as someone suggested. I merely had posted to ask if anyone else had heard them rather than those speculating as always seems to happen here.

I live across from the Morses property, and I hear differeent types of gun shoots from the property, lately in the morning probably because of duck season. This is in no way a comment against the developers, so please don't pile on>
