Tom, you're a funny guy, don't change.
I personally think TOTV is a great website. Anything that irritates us is easily ignored.

I ignore stuff that upsets me as well. TOTV is very tame though and for the most part people treat one with some respect. I have learned not to keep on trying changing minds that will not be moved for whatever reason.

There are a lot of great people on TOTV.

Well said. Very diverse audience with a wealth of knowledge to share. It's almost addictive. What a great place to live. Keep it between the line folks.

I originally came to the forums this past year to learn more about the Villages through the experiences of the peole living here. I try to avoid politics, religion and fishing lies, oops stories. I learned to think about what someone writes and look for the tone of their voice in the words besides what they write. Of course the humor and honesty of the longtime posters is always fun.

I only take my 224 613 Project seriously. Not much else. It helps with stress management if you do not let the small stuff get you down. I do really appreciate the long timers on here and miss the ones we have lost or who have jumped onto different virtual reality venues.

I use 8675309 for my stress management. Works perfect. Still living the dream.

TOTV is still a great site. If you ask for information you will get an answer. On any social site you will have "negative comments"----ignore and move on. :2excited:

That was nice - thanks. A true testament that you are living the 224 613 philosophy. Keep living the dream.

Jenny has relieved my stress also. And all it takes is 3:47.

tomwed 11-08-2015 10:41 AM

When my stress level is up, I go to seven and seven.

Taltarzac725 11-08-2015 12:15 PM

Numbers can be a bad thing, too!

I like Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head for songs that reduce stress. https://youtu.be/OT1HCQcSHW0

Or, Singin' in the Rain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1ZYhVpdXbQ

rustyp 11-08-2015 03:47 PM

Seriously I got you all off on a tangent of Jenny. How many of you understand Taltarzrac's 224 613 - go for it but be polite. It is pretty serious stuff. Still living the dream.

I like "I Can See Clearly Now" and "Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding for stress relief.
I know some will consider this off topic, but is it really?
Maybe we all need to relax a bit and not take a Chat Forum like TOTV so seriously.
I think it's exactly what you make it.
Like rustyp, I'm still living the dream.

I have been to San Francisco too and seriously when the fog lifts You Can See Clearly Now The Dock of the Bay.

How do I start a new post? I just can not find anywhere to do so. Thanks.

graciegirl 12-14-2015 11:37 AM

Here is the OP's original post. " Oh my! What has happened?

What has happened? This site used to have such good responses to questions, and concerns fellow Villagers have.

Lately, the responses have attempted to be sarcastic in nature, try to make a joke, or otherwise, belittle the original poster. I am not pointing to any single person, or topic, but a general trend.

I've subscribed to this site for over 4 years, and found it to be quite useful, adding insight to the many of the issues and concerns of fellow Villagers.
Let's please try to get back on-track, and be more considerate of the OP. "

It will vary according to the device (iPad, iPhone, PC) but I generally start by finding the home page and then identify the specific forum to use. I'm sure there are others here who can tell you about their shortcuts.

Gruntle all you want about the lack of niceness on the Forum, at least we learned a new word. Thanks to Outlaw. :ho:

Interesting:
grun•tle

v.
To utter small, low grunts.
v.
To complain; to grumble
v.
To humour; to induce the opposite effect of causing a person to become disgruntled.

that's an excellent credo to live by. my Mom said the same thing to me & I try.
