Sweden's death rate per million is a lot lower than UK, Italy, Spain, France etc They all had lockdowns too.

Of the 50 European countries, Sweden in number 7 on the most deaths per million, 43 countries had less. I don't know if ALL the rest were in lockdown, but a large number were in lockdown, including Germany, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Switzerland, etc.

It's all how we choose to look at the stats. Personally, I think the lockdown was the way to go, but a good plan needs to be developed to wind it down.

We KNOW people are gathering where they shouldn't. It's their funeral, not yours. We KNOW not everyone is is abiding by the law. So What!!! Stay away from them. Try to focus on some positive things like....what a beautiful day we have. Be happy to be living in America and not some third world country. Be happy that you are free and ABLE to complain about things without repercussions. I look for the good and I don't dwell on the bad. Let's give the complaints a rest, because, in the end, there is really NOTHING you can do about it.

Absolutely agree!

You just can't develop immunity without having the virus so you might do well but not necessarily those around you who you could spread it to.

Nice and logical.

That is probably the group you saw at Red Sauce.

Gang mentality.

President Trump is slowly opening up our economy but he is asking Americans to continue to social distance. I don't know....by the looks of the way Villagers have taken a yard when they were given a foot, we may be in big trouble soon.

I get it that people will not be wearing masks at outdoor bars and restaurants. I haven't mastered how to eat or drink with a mask on and I don't think too many people have either. I just want to see people adhering to the social distance guidelines if they are not able to wear a mask whether it be indoors or outdoors.

What are you going to do if this happens again later this year or next year? Shut down everything again? No let it roll thru and be done with it. Viruses have been around for billions of years and herd immunity is how we have dealt with them throughout time

Sweden has MORE deaths than comparable European countries. Use the Google machine.

The only problem with this selfish attitude is that when they get sick, they will be using up valuable medical resources. Even before this virus, emergency rooms in this area had significant waiting times.

Sweden's death rate per million is higher than other Baltic states, but less than many other European countries, slightly higher than USA.

If Sweden achieves herd immunity in a few months, their death rate will drop to almost zero, while lockdown countries will see deaths continue to grow for next two years or until vaccine is developed. In the end they may lose the battle but win the war.

I don't think so.
