Bidet toilet

Time for a bidet toilet, or are those out of stock as well :a040:

MOMOH 03-14-2020 07:15 AM

It's because you can't get masks. If you have to go out, wrap yourself (or just your head) in toilet paper like a mummy and you'll be protected.

karostay 03-14-2020 07:19 AM

Just in case Starter shacks bathrooms have no toilet paper .Going to mount a dispenser next to my sand bottle :gc:

I would be curious to know how much fresh food (bread, milk, eggs, meats, etc.) people are hoarding will go to trash because it spoiled before it could be consumed. Or how much weight will people gain trying to eat all this food before it spoils. People are nuts!!! The virus will not stop the chickens from laying Hess, the cows from giving mild, water running out of the faucet, etc. WAKE UP EVERYONE; calm down and use some common sense before you go overboard hoarding!!!

Nodonuts@me.com 03-14-2020 07:46 AM

From my last post; damn auto correct. Eggs not Hess, milk from cows, etc.

As was said in another post when the reorder stocks arrive the buying will be slower as the TP paranoid use up their horde.

Yeah, it’s back at Publix this morning too, and they put a limit on how much you can buy.

I even asked the cashier, what’s with the toilet paper scare? He had no idea. Really, people are cranky in the stores. Our town right now is not so friendly. Sad everyone is in such a panic

amdubuc 03-14-2020 08:05 AM

Finally a use for all those Sears Catalogue I found in the attic!

tlweldy 03-14-2020 08:06 AM

This mass panic for TP and other items is ridiculous. This all is a major reaction due to the media blowing it out of context. Yes it is serious but so was the swine flu and SARS and other virus. I am in the supply chain industry and almost all the factories in China are back at work at some capacity. Workers are being allowed to return to work on a daily basis. By the way I buy TP that is made in American. Maybe we all should buy MADE IN AMERICA products.

Jeanette179 03-14-2020 08:07 AM

Mainstream media....UGH!!!

I think global TP hoarding has now elevated itself to cult status. Perhaps we should make a movie----"The Rocky Horror TP Show", or "Night of the Living Dead Empty TP Shelves" Of course, it will be a box office flop since the theaters are closed:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Diarrhea IS a symptom of the Coronavirus! Google it. It's all over the news.

As a former over the road truck driver, I hauled anything and everything you could imagine. The one constant was JIT inventory, just in time. That's been the new way of doing business for most companies for many years. The theory of tying up your assets in inventory has been replaced by JIT. So, when stores don't have any back inventory what happens? The distribution centers can't get inventory to the stores quickly enough as they are almost always waiting for the next truck to show up, JIT. I've seen weather and traffic delays shut down various assembly lines because there was no inventory to keep it going. I've sat and waited out hurricanes and major snow storms to bring items to those distribution centers that were completely empty. Many paper manufactures have loaded trailers full of inventory just sitting waiting to be delivered. Most plants don't shut down they just keep pumping out their products but many items just sit in trailers waiting to be delivered.

Waltdisney4life 03-14-2020 08:39 AM

Thank you hoarders please keep buying my Walmart stock was up $10..00 per share Friday.

pookieroo 03-14-2020 08:43 AM

I'd like to know the source of this vital information.

rmd2 03-14-2020 08:50 AM

I made my own hand sanitizer -- used isopropyl alcohol 91% and added a small amount of hand lotion in a small spray bottle. Shook it up and it works great. I checked with a Publix pharmacist and he said that would be fine as long as the alcohol level was at least 60%.

John_W 03-14-2020 09:15 AM

I've got to go to the Neighborhood Walmart this afternoon, I hear Winn-Dixie has plenty of stuff.

Laker14 03-14-2020 09:28 AM

What's funny is that all these people crowding the Walmart's and Costco's of the world trying to prepare for COVID-19 are probably passing it among themselves trying to buy TP. Out of TP? Just rinse your ass in the shower and move on.

I have stocked up Michelob Ultra, Corona, and Prosecco, Olives, Pretzels, Peanuts, and Two Cans of " Raid " Lemon Scent. Doors are locked, Shades Drawn. My neighbors think I'm out of here. That's plan A....Plan B is a secret. :doggie: :faint:

My sister was in a supermarket and, of course, nothing was left. This “elderly” man shouted, “ why no toilet paper, I never heard this virus is giving people the sh&&ts!! Lol

Thanks for clearing that up. I've been trying to find some of those chickens that lay hess. Thought maybe the hoarders bought them all up.

Dr Winston O Boogie jr 03-14-2020 01:39 PM

I don't get the whole toilet paper thing either. But just out of curiosity I went onto Amazon and searched for toilet paper. Every single one that I saw was not currently available.

The best thing that any of us could have done is to install a hand held shower head. I didn't know it when I did it, but I'm not worried about running out of toilet paper.

Stopped by Winn-Dixie, Spanish Springs, on the way home this afternoon, my favorite size of

Creamy Peanut Butter - Jif Peanut Butter

was out of stock, had to buy it the quart jar. :coolsmiley:

Noticed that the cereal's aisle had some bare spaces, what's up with that?

Tap water in Florida is notoriously unpalatable. I've been drinking (whatever passes for) spring water for over a decade. But I also haven't ever run low on it. I don't wait for emergencies to stock up.

Rapscallion St Croix 03-14-2020 05:31 PM

The saddest thing about the TP Shortage.

Even the one-ply is gone.

Florida tap water my not be very good tasting but it is safe to drink. That is what is most important. Having said that......the water from my refrigerator water dispenser is the best tasting water to me......better than any bottled water out there.
