I disagree. I have lived in Florida for 47 years. The road we are headed down with the new Commissioners is dangerous and will end up costing all of us much more than the increased property tax that was applied. I served 18 years in Broward County Local Government and 12 years in Miami-Dade County. I am definitely concerned with what is being proposed by the new Commissioners. I did not vote for them because they had little or no experience running local Government and I fear that they will not understand the negative ramifications of enacting these gross increases in Impact Fees. Why would we even be entertaining this when so many are hurting from the Pandemic. This will surely hurt Sumter County Citizens in the long run.

If you are on any of the Sumter County or Oren Miller Facebook pages, you will see a constant "witch hunt" of comments. If you read "that other online newspaper" you will see a witch hunt of comments. Now... you're just hearing the other side.
