- Are they allowed to use neighbor's lawns?
- How about on a golf course?
- Are they allowed to use islands on cul de sacs?
- Are they permitted to use areas by mail stations?

I'd like to know if TV has written rules and who to go to if they are violated. I have noticed that many people with dogs don't like to walk them on their own property. Instead, they prefer to walk them on the areas mentioned above.

Thanks for your help.

Dear Barry DC:

As to The Villages regulations and dog's business. First you have to get the dog regular because it pretty much determines certainty. With certainty you can choose the least offending spot for Spot. Believe me when I say it will save you an awfully lot of anxiety.

Welcome to The Villages

Personal Best Regards:

The old hippies never liked rules and regulations. Therefore they've taught their dogs:

"If it feels good, do it."

"Private property? No, yours is mine."

Maybe we're reverting to the philosophy of the native Americans who were here before us---no one owns the land:1rotfl:

Should we tell the "Newbie who has been on TOTV since 9/12" about what dogs are allowed to do on MMPs?

Boomer 10-17-2015 01:18 PM

"What's this I hear?"

Whose Dog Goes Where When has been a long-running topic on TOTV and a widespread interest in other places, too.

In fact, I heard that some guy -- I think his name is Darwin -- wrote a whole, big book about it.....

The book is titled "The Origin of the Feces."

Alternatively, "We don't need no Schtinkin' Rules":1rotfl:

We don't need no schtinkin' leashes, either!

Thanks for your help.

All the dogs are retired here and not allowed to run any kind of business.

Usually better to find out for yourself, but.....

They can drink white paint then pee a stripe, side or center at their discretion
They can run at 21 mph and get cited for being a LSV/ unregistered canine
They can poop anywhere, the bikers really appreciate that
They can weave across the whole path after getting drunk
They can run any and all stop signs
They can run down the middle of a tunnel without headlights
They can break the gates to each Village, especially Bonita
They can pass the really slow carts, subject to #2 above
They can expose their "boobs", unless it is a costume :1rotfl:

Welcome to TOTV. Dog threads, especially those involving p**p, are always welcome here. Dogs are allowed to do stuff wherever and whenever they wish, so no need to call anyone.

..

Fred, are you sure about that fine busines? Does the VCDD really have the authority to issue fines?
Also, it hardly seems fair for the VCDD to fine the owner of a house, just because a dog pees on his lawn.

I just moved in and appreciate this thread. I try very hard to make my dog poo in the gutter so I can pick it up better. I don't want to offend AÑYONE and sure hope I don’t. It's tough to steer her in the right direction but I try. I should carry a plug with me!LOL!

to control your dog if you train it properly. It is only an excuse to do otherwise. It is not a dogs fault where it goes to the bathroom...rather it is the owners. Shorten the leash and have the dog walk on the side furthest from the curb...teach it to heel. You have the whole internet and you tube to figure it out.
