There is a huge difference between him using your property WITH your consent and him presuming to do so WITHOUT it

But that was a change in my perspective, not his. I wondered if it has to do with adding a human element to the component. He stopped, he talked, he voiced concern. I forgave him everything.

It's the same difference in how many people treat each other in person as opposed to on the phone (or on TOTV:1rotfl:) Just ask a telemarketer.

Thank You!

Thank you to all who made constructive comments. One of the things I like about TV is that there are rules. It's what keeps people from painting their houses purple and putting pink flamingos on their lawns. It keeps cars off the golf cart paths (most times) :) and keeps people from throwing their garbage in the streets. I want to know what the rules are so I can obey them. And I want others to obey them too so TV can remain the beautiful place it is for all to enjoy.

[QUOTE=fred53;1130927]you walk them in the street, or sidewalk, or field. Just like we did when I had a dog. Someone else's property is NOT for you to walk YOUR dog....:blahblahblah:

Fred 53, you referenced Topspinmo's post. He merely pointed out that the lots in TV are small.
In his defense, he didn't suggest walking them on anyone else's property!
We are all quite aware that private property is off limits.
It has been pointed out many, many, many times on previous dog poop threads.
This topic comes up on a regular basis.
Dog owners insist they are being respectful and not letting their dog trespass on private property.
Dog owners that aren't respectful probably don't care and aren't reading dog poop threads on TOTV!
People who don't care for dogs suspect that all dog owners are nefarious.:popcorn:

it's a question of training....when we lived in NJ we had a neighbor with a very large dog that he let poop on others lawns. everyone got so tired of it we would collect the 'fresh' doo and redeposit it on his front step....it only took 3 or 4 'lessons'.

:pepper2: poopy the dancin' doo

Envy (2004) - IMDb

I always think of the poop disappearing product Vapoorizer from the movie Envy when I see all these poop threads.

Another alternative for the habitual violator of your lawn is to turn on the sprinkler system....you gotta be quick and know the zone number....but it works!!!
Then you stick your head out the door and say oooooppppsssss!!!

We have responsible dog owners and irresponsible dog owners. I would say responsible dog owners use common sense, courtesy and properly pick up. Irresponsible dog owners do not care. End of story!

And sadly, nothing seems to turn irresponsible dog owners into respectful dog owners.
It's very unfortunate because they're in the minority, yet they give the rest of us a bad name.

Very true. They are also the same ones who are rude in the stores, on the road, etc. The rules don't apply to them. But, yes......they are in the minority.

I'm new to TV and I'd like to know if there are specific regulations concerning where dogs can do their business? For example:

- Are they allowed to use neighbor's lawns?
- How about on a golf course?
- Are they allowed to use islands on cul de sacs?
- Are they permitted to use areas by mail stations?

I'd like to know if TV has written rules and who to go to if they are violated. I have noticed that many people with dogs don't like to walk them on their own property. Instead, they prefer to walk them on the areas mentioned above.

Thanks for your help.

How about jusp simplifying it and make them use their owners lawns!

He didn't use his patented :rotf: finish so it might just be a rampant case of muted sarcasm. :(
