The ecology requires plantlife. Without flowers, there are no pollinators. Without pollinators, there is no food.

Also, 100% stone yards = the need for weedkillers = really REALLY bad for nature.

On the other hand, sod is a waste of space, especially in Central Florida where you can't even have real actual grass. Better to have a wildscape than either a "lawn" or rockbeds.

Not sure how how much exploring you do around TV, but there are vast amounts of undeveloped land out there. Take the backroads, head up toward Ocala or head over to Inverness and explore the back roads. We can have a myopic view inside the bubble, but there is plenty of open spaces (and some with For Sale signs). By the way, your definition of giving back eventually has the cost falling back on the Trust which, when runs out of money, falls back on the residents. There is no free "give back".

You are absolutely correct. I got my smile of the day reading your list. I remember both agreeing and disagreeing on every one of them, and yes, doubt much will change on the gripe list in the next ten ! Might see a few new one though: How the Villages was intentionally over looked for a Bright Line connection could be one ? ? Not enough golf courses could be another, ya think ? But you are correct, "The more things change, the more they stay the same".

South of Warn Sprrings, it's mostly pasture land full of future McDonalds hamburgers that is being replaced with landscaped open areas and lakes drawing all forms of wildlife.

Extensive natural areas are Also being set aside.

I for one am glad they repeat topics. Searching on this forum is not easy. So as I prepare to buy a new or slightly used golf cart after the new year, I hope someone posts yet another question on where the best place to get one is?
