Please explain how a Zelle payment to you can be a scam? To me, a Zelle payment is equivalent to cash, the money won't transfer into your account if it wasn't in the sender's account. How does this become a scam?

They tell you they sent a Zelle payment and then claim it won't go thru because your account needs to be updated.
The e-mail will include a link to do this. It will look like a Zelle website, but the header will be wrong.
If you sign in, you'll be giving them your account info and password... Bye Bye money!
I was selling some musical equipment on e-Bay and I received no less than 5 of these scam attempts... I won't get into specifics about how I responded, but it was instructions on how to "self-copulate"... Oddly, I never heard back form them...
Rather than click on their link, I went to my Zelle app and all was fine.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER respond to a link received by e-mail for any banking activity. Open a new window and go to the site YOU usually use. And problems will be listed there...
