Wrong - The constitution supersedes state and local. You will see more protests the longer this goes on with court action following. In response to the op, just keep on driving.

200 people??? I estimate it more like 50-60 but still too close.

Better described as "Head in Sand Attitude" (polite version)

Lead, follow or get out of the way. Let the natural selection begin.

Really, NOT AT THESE TIMES, You must have been 1 of them.
Or maybe you haven't been reading of listening to the news the last 3-4 Months or all of the press conferences The Prez. and the Gov. have been doing!!

Cuomo: Most new NY coronavirus hospitalizations are from people who stayed home

So much for that!! Keep in mind, we are NOT New York. The leadership and environment are totally different!

They have the right to remain stupid.

The folks that are gathering and going into the restaurants are the early adapters...they're testing the water for the rest of us
(and helping these local businesses get back up on their feet)...

I read recently that going grocery shopping isn't as much of a risk because you're in and out (unless you get caught up waiting in the zucchini line)...however indoor events and restaurants present a greater risk because you're there for a longer period of time
...not sure if that's true, but it made sense to me on the surface

Hopefully these early adapters don't end up like the soldiers that were in the first few waves of landing craft that hit Omaha, and other Normandy Beaches back in the day....

If you can find it read Section 98 of the Constitution which disputes that state and local governments can restrict peaceful assembly.

From what I've seen in the Villages, the obese, unhealthy, and nursing home residents are in lock down. They are the ones that need a quarantine. Those gathering are younger, healthier, active with a strong immune system. They are in the group of no symptoms from Covid19. If they get it, they then get immunity.

Kevin James the actor has a 2 minute clip on YouTube about this very thing.

See what Happens in 2 weeks

It will be interesting to see what happens in 2 weeks after all this togetherness. Hope it is not a bad thing.

I was one of the people there having a good time. This may come as a shock to you, but we as Americans are free to do what we want to do. Many of us now know that this whole thing has been totally overblown. You cannot hide from viruses! You’re either going to get it or you’re not. You can’t stay in the house forever. You can’t wear a mask forever. And you can’t stay 6 feet away from everyone forever. If you choose to remain afraid then stay home. That’s your right.

I think history will judge Sweden as having the best approach. Their only goof-up was not doing something about the nursing homes. That's where most of their deaths have occurred.
But they haven't destroyed their economy and quality of life.
After we reopen, I think you'll see a resurgence of the virus and the number of deaths will pan out to be the same rate overall.
The only difference will be that we made ourselves miserable and destroyed our livelihoods in the misguided attempt to outsmart Mother Nature.
