I started watching CYVs about 5 years ago when we decided that was our home of choice, since then, in every new area that opened up the first homes built were always CYVs and they have all sold quickly when they listed. When we purchased our villa 4 years ago they listed 12 the first evening and all were sold within 2 hours with waitlists for everyone sold in case someone got cold feet, we had 5 other people wanting ours, lucky for us our realtor was quick on the keyboard and got us the one we wanted. The big draws for CYVs are small/low maintenance yards, privacy, and pets (fenced in yards). For us we have 2 Golden Retrievers so a fenced yard was a must. We love ours and our neighborhood is very close and friendly. Wouldn't have anything else.

I think there should be some recognition for a system of building homes at the rate 150 -400 homes per month (400 per month in the early 2000's).
One cannot compare the usual onesey twosey construction subdivisions (no matter the price). TV has been doing it for 30 some years..... They all meet the codes of the day and regions/area. |
Its not uncommon for a uniformed civil service worker to have a pension in excess of $100K, the person who took over my position which I left in 1983--prior to going into my own business- his retirement from the city was $165K--city pension,SS, Local 3 pension & annuity & IBEW national pension. Today even a NYV sanitation worker can get a pension of $100K--I don't know if it still works--but when if left your pension was based on ONE high year.
