I disagree. 5 miles over the speed limit on a highway is completely different from 5 miles over the limit at lower speeds on shared roads. Pedestrians, cyclists, and golf cart drivers can attest to the difference.

1.Lady Lake had announced along with othet counties that there would be a Speeding Crack down.
2. The Villages is not exempt from following laws ( even if you think you are).
3.The population is increasing
Traffic increasing. Accidents happening more and more.
Thank-you sheriff's for doing your job.

Well, the people complained and now they have to deal with the ramifications.

Personally, I favor speed enforcement. Autos and golf carts mixed on streets…speed limits should be the maximum, not the minimum. Slower autos equals safer golf carts. (Same goes for golf carts too)

I think this the street. Unless you live in that area, most people would never use it.
I would think that 99% of the people going north or south from Spanish Springs use Morse.

That's awesome! About time LEO does something about the morons who think they don't need to heed the speed limits. Morse and Buena Vista are turning into speedways. Putting a full time cop out there would address the problem, stop more drunks and drug users and pay for itself with the revenue it would generate. Also, way too many idiots driving souped up golf carts that are not made to go over 20MPH. Leave earlier, slow down and try to enjoy life.

So you saw three getting ticket or you got three
Because you getting three is impossible, one stop takes more then 10 minutes
Not sure what you are stating here

I was going 25 on Rio Grande one afternoon and an impatient sole decided to pass me. Of course it only took 30 seconds or so for me to pull up behind him because he was waiting for the light at Morse Boulevard to change. In the grand scheme of things even going 5 mph faster on the turnpike doesn’t get you there that much faster but the slight advantage of going 5 mph faster on Rio Grande is even less.

I’m one of those clowns that requested increase enforcement. Been actually passed by one vehicle that speed was in excess of 50 MPH. Too many drivers from the 466 apartments using Chula Vista as a cut thru. Increased in the last three years.

It didn't sound like it. That's what made it funny.

Go speed limit or less and it won't matter.

Local Police and State Troopers Typically do NOT bother if you only Exceed the Speed Limit by 5-7 MPH,

STATISTICALLY
Driving “Less” than the Speed
Limit is NOT advised as good advice

That’s when you pull up next to them, wave with a big smile. 🤣

Only the law breakers. Those who obey the laws and drive in a reasonable and safe manner likely will not be inconvenienced at all.
