I was told by my sales agent 10 years ago, that there is actually one person ( a morse family member) assigned to name all village street names.

In my humble opinion, the best street name in all The Villages is Oracle Ct. The worst name is a three way tie between Caulk Ct., Fink St., and of course Heiny Place.

How about Head Way In DeSoto or Stuck St in Chitty Chatty?

We just purchased a home on one of those streets and had lots of fun while speaking with the utility companies.....yikes! I'm hoping when we come down next month our neighbors will tell us how to pronounce our street name!! :icon_wink:

Many streets in the Mallory Square, Sabal Chase, Virginia Trace area are names of towns found on maps of North and South Carolina: Timmmonsville, Society Hill, Monck's Corner, Goose Creek, Harleyville, Cottageville, and several others.

I can't remember the name of the village north of 466 but the name of the streets are all Illinois towns. Addison, Dalton, Niles, etc.

Is that where the names come from? I love it! My favorite place for vacation was Kitty Hawk, NC, where the Wright Brothers first flew and everybody learns to hang glide.

That is the Village of Glenbrook. Other illinois towns: Deerfield, Wheeling Way, Northbrook.
Definitely a theme

A small section of Liberty Park uses names from places in Great Britain, such as: Darlington, Georgetown, Abercrombie, St. Charles, Inverness, & Chesterfield.
I also see that O’dell Circle is not a circle at all...but it is a loop.
