I think the idea is more to make stealing a single club LESS attractive. If 2 carts are parked at a bar & grill, clubs on one completely uncovered, the other's 2 sets of clubs both have bag covers that are cable locked. I sell those security covers; the material is pretty hard to cut through and no one usually Carrie’s bolt cutters to go through the cable. My wife and have used them for going on 7 years and never had a problem; both sets are about $2,500 each; we actually had a cart parked next to ours one night that 2 sets were stolen off of.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for a time serving my country. They took care of people who didn’t respect other people’s property or belongings quite efficiently. If you stole something, they just cut off your hand; problem solved. Chances are if you saw a wallet, golf club or whatever laying on the walk, you left it alone till the owner returned for it. We’ve let crime slide too far in this country.

This alarm system makes more sense than a cuttable cover with a cable.
