Use irons and hit down on the ball like your trying to pinch it of a fairway during January when there is almost no grass.

Another site reported the single club stolen: Merchants of Golf Tour X MG23 driver and valued it at $200.

Online, the driver can be purchased new for $80, including free shipping.
Ebay has them used for $30.

Thieves obviously not looking for value.

More from the site: Two golf bags had been loaded on the back of the golf cart, but had a cover folded down over them, the incident report indicated.

I'll repeat:

A knife will take of this............slice the cover open.

If they have a knife most times I believe they will grab the easy mark. They won't be able to take the entire bag. I have insurance on my golf equipment if they do get anything.

Also in that report, there was an eye witness to the theft. A full description of the event, car description of get a way vehicle………..didn’t get a plate number???

One $80 golf club stolen is what makes front cover news.

The Villages district Sheriff said TV is a very "low crime" area.

Except folks want no crime Sheriff.

Imagine moving from NYC to TV and seeing what's main stream crime news.
DUI's and stolen golf clubs.

Folks should be so thankful to be living here and don't have to ride a subway where you would lose more than a golf club.

I have a extra driver if the guy needs one.

Years ago guys would walk into local bars asking if anyone wanted to buy sets of golf clubs. It turns out they worked at golf courses.

New York City seems to get blamed for everything; Chicago and San Fransisco could have easily and deservedly so replaced the city selection your posted...

Probably because there are more people in TV from NYC than from Chicago or San Francisco...

It doesn't change the truth to the story...

Lmfao!! I feel the same way sometimes. Golf can be frustrating as hell!

And yet.... how many of us started at as children or teens, and STILL have stayed with it into the senior years... still dreaming, IF ONLY one of the sporting goods companies would finally manufacture THE club, the magic one.:pray::pray:

How can you lock single clubs up? Yes, a cover works, but how do you secure a cover to prevent theft?

I think the idea is more to make stealing a single club LESS attractive. If 2 carts are parked at a bar & grill, clubs on one completely uncovered, the other's 2 sets of clubs both have bag covers that are cable locked. Cable is very easy to cut, then remove the bag cover... but..... isn't it much easier to look over the uncovered clubs and quickly take your choice ?

Never said it did. But makes the comment more relatable...

99% of the folks couldn't afford to live in NYC.
