Very often not very helpful in finding the crooks.

If someone of a particular race has committed a crime see no reason not to say their race.

As someone once said "if you do not want to do the time do not commit the crime."

I agree

The jewelry store bandits got away ---> For now, but the long arm of the law is still looking for them.

Also, what exactly happened at World of Beer?

VILLAGER 2011 08-07-2021 03:48 PM

Thank You

And you can expect more of this type of criminal activity due to our proximity to Wildwood.

It was never reported in the village paper.

We are a ripe plum just waiting to be plucked.

AUNTNEE 08-07-2021 04:43 PM

You're correct. The jewelry store in Cocoa Village put EVERYTHING away each night. It all went into a huge safe.

Bent Tree 08-07-2021 05:30 PM

I have said for many months now…we are just sitting targets waiting for something to happen. It has now started

In the instance this week of the stealing of liquor, on the online news, they were described and there were pictures of them. They were black.

You contradict yourself in a very short post.

In your first sentence, you say that it's no longer allowed to state that criminals are black, white, Latinx, or Asian. In your third sentence, you say they WERE described.

Regardless, there's no rule anywhere that I know of saying that you're not "allowed" to describe a criminal that you saw.

You might want to check your phrasing, to ensure that you don't use known derogatory words in the descriptive, but yes you may absolutely say so if it is pertinent to the context of the story.

On the other hand, if you bring up an entire thread JUST to point out that black people are doing something bad...

then maybe you need to check your privilege. I haven't seen YOU do this at all.

But there are people who DO this kind of thing, and that is called race-baiting. It's an actual thing, with an actual name.

Nothing. There was something that happened out in the Square somewhere, and the World of Beer is also in the Square. People love bringing trash "articles" from the online news here. That's probably why it gets **** out when you try typing the website URL here. The admin of this forum doesn't want to deal with that trash.

Doesn't stop anyone from copying/pasting the entire post in full but hey - admins will admin.

They parked too close.
Arrest warrants are being issued.

Pedantics again...fine.

It seems like. One might consider the possibility that. Perhaps.

"Looks like" is an expression, in addition to a statement of visual observation. Blind people use this expression sometimes to express that perhaps some evidence provided about a thing, could lead one to believe a particular possibility.

"Seems like" would alleviate all confusion...

Never mind.

All three of them?

It is not pretty - seeing America divided into tense, waring TRIBAL camps. Hating on "the OTHER".

Excessive hating "the other" has historically lead to national destruction (WW2). We live in tense times - let us all HOPE that we get through this in one piece as a country.

Can white people race bait other white people?

I am indeed one lucky duck. You can say I was indeed privileged.

I do the best I can trying to figure things out. I certainly do not think anyone should look down on anyone. I think most of us have the ability to make moral decisions and choose to be very careful with money and try to avoid being addicted so that we are compelled to steal money or objects from other people.

I am sure that I have prejudged others. It happens a lot, and not just about race.

Call it like it’s seen; more than likely from the Wildwood area.
