A lot of people choose to use their cars instead of their golf carts when the weather is cold. I know I did yesterday.

I was out also and we were so backed up on Morse that the back up extended right the roundabout. What a mess

Brace yourselves folks, it is only going to get worse. As The Villages continues to build southward, just off of Morse Blvd, the people moving there are going to join the rest of the crew south of 466A who have to come north on Morris to get to any real shopping, doctors, bowling alleys, entertainment, restaurants etc etc. Morse north of 466 is a 2 lane nightmare with golf carts and cars sharing the road and is a natural bottleneck with over 20,000 cars a day going through that gate during the season. Wait until the Trailwind area is developed by other developers and the Villages doubles in size with all the new building south of 44. Then, you will definitely see traffic familiar to those who claim it is nothing right now.

Heavy traffic is a collective event. He who observes said event is a contributor.

Those of us who built and moved into TV in 2004 have watched and participated in growing over three times the population it was back then (33,000 to over 100,000 today).
There is much of what we have today that would not be here if it wasn't for that growth. And there is much more to come as TV continues to unfold.

The way TV is designed the population sorta regionalizes with amenities, facilities, utilities, shopping, etc evolving and growing with the population.

It is not as bad as the numbers and at times emotions make it sound. The life style has only improved with the growth.
Anyplace worth visiting or living will always have it's busy days.

I will take TV busiest days any day compared to the alternatives.

No points for missing golf, so off to shop or out to eat in the car. Carts driving by our house was down by 70%.

Wait till you see the bumper to bumper 441 traffic, starting spring 2020.
They are dismantling the overpass at 441/25, just past the McDonalds.
My dental assistants husband who works for FDOT, said it will be a 2 year project.
All southbound 441 traffic will be routed onto Rolling Acres, on to 466, back to 441.
Same detour for northbound 441 traffic.
Good luck getting to Sam's...

I knew there was a reason I didn't renew Sam's membership.. they stopped carrying most of what I buy there... but I may have Target withdrawal.

OrangeBlossomBaby 03-08-2019 12:59 AM

Going back and forth between Orange Blossom CC area and Sumter Landing with stops at Target and Staples, all exclusively via golf cart, didn't seem bad at all this past week. Was I in an area that none of you are talking about? Or am I just so used to New England congestion that this was easy peasy in comparison?

Why? Don’t tell another stop light at 25
