They take enough hits on this forums threads. Sometimes youre better off saying nothing in cases like this

What damage?

You actually think they're going to "interrogate" all of their employees, under bright lights, with threats of a beating with a rubber hose to find out who DARED to give me such damaging information?

Funny, I see no one giving "hits" to any employee on this (or any of the previous thread on this topic). Maybe that's just your overactive imagination?

Speaking of "saying nothing", it's sage advice... You might want to consider taking it...

And how many rec centers and community watch employees are there?

Did I mention which one I used? No I didn't (It's more than one, btw, depending on which direction I'm going when I leave...)

But sure, keep digging that hole... It's becoming comical...

Have I ever asked to leave trash with a neighbor? Yes I have.

Our trash is picked upMonday and Thursday. We typically clean out the fridge Thursday morning of everything except what we'll need for Thursday night and Friday (we typically go out to dinner the night before we leave).

But when I'm leaving at the crack of dawn on a Saturday morning, I won't bother them with the few things we still need to throw out.

Maybe YOU feel entitled enough to do that, but personally, I'd rather not be a pest...

Now feel free to continue your little "p*ssing contest"...

Oh so there it is..."guns a blazin...from the day he joined". Whatd you watch Animal House last night. Is there an initiation or probationary period for someone other than your 'Sage' fraternity.....to post a differing view than your pearls of wisdom?!...Dean Martin! I'll stop here on this one because its interesting how the moderator singled me out on a similar thread...after going back/forth with you. ive been PM'd about your antics, i shouldve listened but wheres the fun in that!

Absolutely correct. I have been in this situation many times as I have spent the last year between here & there. I know when I am going to leave & get rid of everything I can. What remains on that final morning is a lot of 'not much'. Used coffee pods, paper towels, a couple of napkins, maybe some tissues, etc. & frequently on that final morning I leave long before my neighbors are awake.

Good grief this forum is full of wackos. How do do you get months of trash and feces out of a coffee cup? Really. The bins at the postal stations are for trash that you may have with you for any reason. A score card, junk mail, a coffee cup. And yes I put a small grocery store size bag in there if it’s not trash day when I travel. It’s all going to the same place and funded by the same people, us.

Hit the nail on the head!

Your description would be a small "plastic" grocery bag...the kind that would fit in a barrel at the Postal Station (if that is you MO). Do you need a dumpster for what you described? Exactly, thats my point.

But that was the entire point of the post. What to do with the remains on a non-trash day when leaving. Just because it got derailed, doesn't change the poster's request. One of my favorite drop offs was the I-75 north bound Ocala rest stop. But! Horrors! That rest station has been closed for renovations, & I think will remain closed until 2025. It was only about a half hour into my 1,000 mile journey. It was perfect. (weeping noises here). So, while I should have been able to help the OP, I was looking for ideas myself.

I am grateful for the rec center dumpster idea.

The first part of your post is straight out of Seinfeld episode. Kramer driving a tour bus for umpteen hours trying to dump the discarded bottoms of muffins and being rejected at every dump station. Guess you had to be there

Some may not want to hear this information, but I believe in getting the official information. This is the official response from the recreation department:

Good morning and thank you for your email.

The recreation Dumpsters are solely for the use by our recreation centers and our approved contractors doing work at our facilities. These are not to be used for household trash. If you could share with me what center this might be so I can make sure our staff is sharing the correct information as well that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Well congratulations! Something that was not a problem for anyone was escalated it until it was. What turns out to have been a nice courtesy has NOW turned into a problem for the rec center employees.

But hey - you were right and that's all that matters.

Be sure to make the physical therapy appointment to help with the shoulder injuries that come from patting oneself on the back.

Hope you're happy with yourself...
