Just a reminder the employees at your mailbox location are no postal employees but hired by private contractor.

Yes TV has been my home for 12 years, and didn’t mention they were postal employees.

However if you have a complaint you still have to go to the post office, to file a complaint about contractors at mail stations.

I like the app also. Only problem with it, not always accurate. While doing my taxes, I received a notice that a piece of mail that I needed was in the box. Went there three times and it wasn't there. I asked the girl that was working that day and she said it could
take 2 weeks before I get it. I also could have a problem, because if they put it in the wrong box and that person didn't bring it back, I may not get it. Sure enough, I didn't get it, so I had to contact the company and get them to send me another copy. I've never had a problem when advertisement showed up on the app or in the box!

My post office carrier and the girls in the customer center are the best on LaGrande! And Main P.O. Brian has always answered the phone and resolved my dumb customer problems which I created!

We've had no problems at all with our postal worker (I believe her name is Patricia, at the Paradise Rec area). She works hard, is efficient, usually has a smile for everyone, and is cordial but professional.

Nothing is perfect but it usually works, every once in awhile go to the box and the mail that was to be there did not come that day.

We are here just over two years and very often previous owner has mail coming to our box. Sometimes I find it in my box and sometimes not.

These days her junk mail finds it way to the garbage can but hopefully the garbage can police will not read this.

For those getting a notice that a piece of mail is there that isn't. I ask'ed our postal station person and she told me they scan the mail when they pick it up at the Post Office. That triggers the system to say it is waiting for you. Then they drive over to our postal station and sort it out and put it in the boxes. That can finish, sometimes, hours later. So, now when I get the message I wait a few hours before going to get it. Haven't had a problem since. I am certain that sometimes things get lost. But, not very often considering how much mail the PO delivers every day. I know that doesn't help when it is your mail that gets lost or re-routed.

If this is something that is happening often to you, then I would report it to the Post Master. And I would consider that maybe I ****ed someone off.

what in heaven's name is so urgent about getting mail delivered by the USPO, in this electronic age, that you'd get wrapped around your jockey shorts about it?

What a nice person you are. I wonder if that has anything to do with the difficulties you have had.

LOL. Unfortunately, if you have an incompetent Government employee, the only way to get rid of them is to transfer them to another job, and, often, they get a promotion. In the Federal Government, it happens all the time. You can't fire them.

In general, I find that more than 90% of my mail is junk and I use the postal APP to decide when I empty the box. When I look at what is delivered, I see a collage of trash of different sizes, materials and volumes which must fit into ~ 4" X4" opening. Not surprising that the one important document could get hidden amongst this trash somewhere in the process.
I do not blame the delivery person but rather the concept of the USPS and its purpose. The current concept seems to encourage the junk mail simply to stay somewhat viable. Imagine the reduced work volume if the process changed. Efficiency, resources and costs would improve dramatically.

An extreme example is the delivery of some AMAZON items by the USPS. I order a pack of AA batteries for $10 on Saturday and I get a US Postal truck stopping at my house Sunday, with a Postal Employee then walking up to the front door and delivering the item. Sure, I am part of the problem and I could likely search for an option to prevent Sunday delivery.

But, as we all know, there are many forces driving this inefficiency.

I was under the impression that the postal station workers here are contractors, but I certainly could be wrong about that. My post still stands. Rather than DEMAND the problem be fix, which it should be, the OP demanded the bad employee be transfer to some where because they spent too much money on their house to be bothered with this." That is definitely a "entitled" attitude.

what area do you live in? maybe the issue is 'your end' of town, they do quite well here, & must admit they go out of their way to deliver some of my pkgs. also, if the pkg is very large or awkward, offer a tip for the delivery person's effort--it works wonders! they DO remember you
