20 golf carts in 4 spaces? Really?
But again. Why wouldn't the villages want your store?

What better way than to rope off 500 spaces in the Rialto parking lot which no theater goers can't use and then have the audacity to charge $10 bucks a pop and have you think you are getting a good service. By the way, hope you supporters know you should tip the parking attendants. We need Valet Parking like we need a hole in the head. They no longer have Buffalos but they sure do have you all Buffalowed.

Were their seriously 500 parking spots roped off in the Rialto parking lot?

500 spaces......would love to know the math behind how you came up with that one. Yes, always tip people who provide you a service......at least I believe most in The Villages know that.

I thought valet parking was a choice. Why get so upset over someone paying for parking. You can choose to walk or pay someone :boxing2:

From the hours of 4pm to 10 pm some 'form' of the developer or entertainment department has exclusive rights to the streets of Spanish Springs. This came to light during the talks about the parades. It allows us to walk the streets with alcoholic beverages among other things that are provided for us.

4 parking space can accomidate 16 carts. Still, see no problem with valet parking if you want to pay for it. I believe it is called free enterprise.

perrjojo 05-09-2015 09:38 PM

If people want and use valet parking it will succeed and continue. If people do not want it and do not use it it will be discontinued. I really don't understand all of the comments here about plastic and silver spoons. It's called supply and demand.

I agree! There are many who are unable to go to the squares because of difficulty walking. They are now able to go.

What if they cannot afford it?? Maybe a few more disabled parking spaces???

You miss the Buffalo? You can see them from an executive course up in the far northwest of The Villages. Sixth hole, happily grazing and away from the kids.

The Valet parking was presented to be a trial.

So far we have NO parking problems. Does "thinly veiled preemptive strike" mean bending over backwards to see that everything worked well?

Why are you all riled up?

For those who don't like it..... News Flash ! Don't use it !! :22yikes:
If it works great, if it doesn't, it doesn't. In the meantime, people that have a difficult time walking and getting around may benefit from this.

Doesn't that philosophy apply to everything in life? For example If you dont like the restaurant, don't go back. In my opinion you don't need to bash it because you don't like the taste or if it isn't your style. Let us know if you get food poisoning or see bugs. If you are ripped off, let us know. I'm sure I am guilty of complaining way too much. For some reason TOTV brings out the worse in me.

Because they are taking away hundreds of free parking spaces from the rest of the residents who don't go to "The Sharon". Guess you just don't get it.
