What news ? Where is this news , I have not seen one report of someone being mugged while walking around at night on any path . Maybe it’s secret news only known to those who stir the pot ????

Growth means more options. More clubs, more courses, more dining, more entertainment, more shopping, more of everything. But if you don't want to venture out, stay in your community and nothing has changed.

They need to work on getting the three movie theaters open and operating as usual by hiring more workers. They seemed very short staffed at the Old Mill Playhouse.

Why are you even on this site? Why spend your time watching people comment about their community that's "not any better" than yours? |

If desired, one can just stay in their particular village area. If in the North, there is no need to go South and vice versa. Personally, I enjoy going outside the bubble and welcome any law abiding individuals into our community. My prior residence didn't have any gate or surveillance cameras at the entrance of the neighborhood. I do not feel unsafe.

Photo license plate
You are aware that when you push that red button at the gate, the camera takes a picture of your license plate as a record of who entered the subdivision.
I think The Villages is handling their size expansions wonderfully. |

Is it too big, yes of course it is too big, but if the Morse family do not build on Central Florida land who will. You might end up with a fly by nighter who starts and runs out of money, and walks away.
However, I see a larger problem than being too big .... where are you going to get medical staff, nurses, hospital techs and on and on to service this large population. |

Very interesting Bogie, thanks. That will change the face of TV forever. I am sure it will be a great safe place to raise children. Just today I mentioned to my other half that there are more and more underaged youngsters appearing in TV.

Another precinct heard from. . .
There was an article titled "Why Are Young People Moving to The Villages?" in yesterday's Tampa Bay Times. The site also offers it as a "Listen."
I am not able to link it right now, but maybe someone else will find it and do that. Boomer |
