Be sure to ask your agent to show you the Hacienda Country Club and Katie Belles before you make a buying decision.

That story is over…….move on.

I was just asking if a golf cart would also be available to use.

Franklin,
If you are driving your tow car into The Villages, I'd suggest meeting with your sales agent (Villages sales or outside MLS agent) in one of the three main town squares....in each, there is a golf cart store where you can do a daily rental of a cart (about $40).

Be very careful in learning rules of paths if you are only carting around for a day.

Seeing The Villages by Golf Cart is a necessity prior to purchase. Agents don't have access to carts to lend. They can take you out by cart to view locally located properties in a Sales Center cart, but they drive. The carts for lifestyle visits are parked in the garage of the lifestyle units and are exclusive to that unit. Your best bet would be to rent a cart from one of the Villages owned facilities and ask them if you can leave it in their lot overnight when you are back in Ocala. Any other rental facility you may have issues with overnight parking. The last time I checked, the Villages Golf Cars don't take reservations during the busy season. I hope that is helpful, as many on this site are not so helpful...

The short answer is No. A lifestyle visit entails renting a house from them.

OP’s Post #20 “leaving the RV at home” doing a lifestyle visit.

Angelhug52 03-20-2024 08:48 AM

Makes sense to call the sales office and ask?

Agree with those who recommend renting for a period prior to thinking of purchasing.
Lifestyle visits will not show some of the possible drawbacks behind all the wonderful scenery.
The Villages are huge now, and location is very important.
Lifestyle is basically buy in the new development area, whereas a longer stay will allow you to see the more established areas, which in my book, are better areas.
JMO.

When you book a lifestyle visit, you can tell them you're looking for pre-owned in neighborhoods north of 466 or 466A. They will accommodate you, as long as you know to tell them that from the very start.

Their primary job is to fill vacancies. Their emphasis in doing that is on new construction, but filling vacancies in resales is also part of their job.

Unlikely.

And why???? Cheapskate Villagers ordering 1 ice tea and sitting there all night.

Meanwhile, I played Hacienda Hills 3 days ago and the course was in great condition. So now they are constructing a new pro shop. The money losing restaurant is gone, the pool is gone but there is a new neighborhood pool adjacent.

In summary, one pool out of 100+ is gone, but replaced.
One restaurant out of hundreds is gone
And one residents dinner/nightclub is gone, because of the residents.

Problem?????

Well I did hear that katie belles was wonderful and was told I will miss i:boom:t.

Enjoy your visit……..😎

Actually none of us jumped to the wrong conclusion… The OP specifically said he was coming to the villages for a "lifestyle visit".
I'm pretty sure 99.99% of us understand what a lifestyle visit is. You come down here and they put you in one of their homes and you live like a villager for a few days. The OP obviously did not understand that. They are just coming down to the villages to meet with the real estate agent.

I think you are pulling our legs Stu. No one needs to do anything to sell a house in The Villages. We are a very sought after and desirable place to live.

You will find many singles live here and many couples too and you will also see that most people who live here are retired from successful lives and choose to live among like folks. The homes cost a hellofalot more than they did three years ago, but so does everything. EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE. The Villages sales people do not need to pressure you or trick you or accomadate you to get sales.

The Villages is the most sought after area of its' kind in the entire country.

NO. I don't sell houses, never did and I don't work for the developer.

I am just another satisfied VILLAGER.
